With the addition of this walking path and the fact that they only use the 2 closest lots to the entrance on slow days, There is no reason to pay $60 extra for a membership with preferred parking. Now there’s a safe path to get to the other lots within five more minutes of walking.

This should also encourage more people to bring their meals picnic style instead of paying outrageous food pricing and surcharge.

Very worth it to me. I suspect a lot of folks will still agree too. I don't think there's any chance this negatively impacts pass tier upgrades one bit.

We could see France & England becoming exclusively only vip in near future; with the Germany parking lot becoming the preferred parking while Italy and Ireland becoming general parking.
And on days like starurdays in howl-o-scream all of Germany, Italy, & Ireland will become preferred parking and overflow will be general parking.

From my experience over the last two seasons, I think this is likely.

I would argue that the walkway makes those changes kinda not a big deal, I was thinking to myself when I saw the finished photos that I might lower my membership sense general parking won’t mean it takes me half a hour to get in to the park sense I can easily walk now.

"We" who? And why? VIP is not a tremendously popular product. Even on the busiest days, VIP is almost always available in my experience. Dedicating two large parking lots to VIP sounds HIGHLY, HIGHLY unlikely.

It's also worth noting that BGW has increased space in England thanks to the new-ish bus parking policy.

Is there a preferred shortage on busy days? Definitely. Will Preferred be entirely removed from England and France? Definitely not.

No shot at all. That would require a massive, massive change in the ratio of VIP/Preferred purchasers to regular parking purchasers. ESPECIALLY on super busy days, BGW wants to limit the flow of guests across Route 60 to prevent illegal foot crossings. This means balancing the influx of traffic not by parking tier but by volume.

This!! Plus on busy days like HOS where the park uses the overflow parking, profiting on the use of VIP and preferred is not the priority. The priority on those days is parking the lots in an order as to be able to turn them over smoothly and not run out of parking and have to turn people away. Days that the overflow lots are used change the ways that people are parked in the lots. Changing all of the gardens side lots to preferred would be completely counterproductive because once Scotland and Bavaria are full, they’d just be putting GA parking in those lots anyway. Just like now when traffic is still heavily rolling in late, GA is put in England and France.
