Ok so most people here have previously discussed the aborted original scream machine (which ended up at great america as shockwave) and the wooden roller coaster that was set to be built where medusa is now, but I thought it was about time we discussed some of the lesser attractions that failed to become reality.
since great adventure history site has the supposed updated entrance plaza from 1989, minor league baseball stadium, the supposed airfield restaurant & lakefront restaurant, fantasy fair & the great adventure hotel that didn't happen so I will gloss over those for now.
1: Waltzer. Got as far as featuring on the park map in 1975. But in reality never got past the planning application stage.
2: flightboard 5d. Was to be built in the old right stuff building but again never saw the light of day.
3: dragonfly helicopter rides, this was going to be a joint venture between six flags and a helicopter company with great adventure one of the parks to get it, but the joint venture fell though after dan snyder sold six flags.
So has anyone got any thoughts on any of these rides/attractions that never were, or know of any more little known aborted attractions?
