Celebrate Independence Day with Kings Dominion’s Inaugural Star Spangled Celebration

DOSWELL, VA. (June 24, 2016) - Kings Dominion will be decked out in red, white, and blue this Independence Day! Celebrate all weekend long at the first ever Star Spangled Celebration July 2- July 4 complete with energetic performances from local military bands and dazzling firework shows each evening, plus all of your favorite rides.
Kick off the fun with the Military Chef’s BBQ Challenge on Saturday, July 2. Some of the military’s best Chefs will battle head-to-head right under the Eiffel Tower. Guests can watch their favorite military teams fight for the championship. The cook-off will be judged by an all-star panel of local Chefs. The Military Chef’s BBQ Challenge is an official qualifier for the World Food Championships held later this year.
Kings Dominion is also honoring service members by offering free admission to the park for active and retired military as well as veterans with honorable or medical discharge. Either a DD214 or government issued ID will be accepted.
