For those who have traveled to the park, where did you stay? Not something I’ve ever had to think about before, but I’m working on planning my trip next year and it’ll be my first since I left NJ. As much as I’d love to stay at Savannah Sunset, I sure as hell won’t for that price.
Are you trying to stay close, cheap, nice, or part of a bigger trip?

Close and cheap would be ideal, nice isn’t necessary but not a dump, not a bigger trip. This will likely be a fly in, rent a car, drive to the park, go to a hotel, and fly home the next day trip.

God I miss Wawa. The closest one to me is 2 hours away in Pooler, GA and I absolutely do make that trip every now and then, but having one outside my neighborhood for over 20 years spoiled me.

I did learn last week that not all Wawas are created equal. Went to one in NC and it absolutely sucked, especially heartbreaking because it’s 5 mins from my friend’s house. Indianapolis got one now that I left, too.

Unfortunately most hotels are around 20-30 mins away from the park. You'd think Jackson Township would have a hotel nearby since the park and the outlets seem to be a big draw.

We booked a room at the TownePlace Suites in Cranbury at the end of the month. I stayed there once before and it wasn't terrible.

Sounds good enough to me. I’ve spoiled myself by exclusively staying at Marriotts and their other brands in the past couple years, so I’m fine with keeping that up with a TownePlace room.

There are times when I really wish the proposed hotel at Great Adventure would’ve happened, but it also would’ve been exactly where Bakunawa is, and I’d rather have Bakunawa.

I second that suggestion to stay in Cranbury at the Towne Place Suites. I had a very good experience there in 2021 while working at Great Adventure. The park actually booked my stay there so I could work at the park several weekends during Fright Fest. There's rooms with full efficiencies like a stove and a dishwasher. I was impressed.

So lucky I have two sheets and a wawa withing a mile from me.

I’ve stayed in Tom’s River in that kinda idea before. Not right there but there’s a good number of hotels.

Great Adventure lists the food places that accept the dining plan, but does not show menus or items that qualify. Is there fan site that might have current 2026 info?
