Unless SEAS is planning on ending their partnership with Sesame Workshop in the feature, I think it is possible that Bay of Play got cheaply re-themed to Rescue Jr. so PRKS can build a Sesame Place San Antonio from scratch in 2026. Otherwise, I don't understand why SEAS would only remove Sesame Street from SWSA. There are three areas that SEAS could build a Sesame Place San Antonio without needing to purchase new land. The biggest area is approximately 38 acres according to Google Earth (I doubt that SEAS would make a Sesame Place that big). I think the area where the flag pole is would be the most ideal, since it could be connected to Discovery Point, allowing the same parking lot and plaza to be used for all three parks. The area is approximately 11 acres, which I think is enough space for a Sesame Place. The only obstacle would be the flag pole, which they can build around, since I doubt that they would re-locate it due to being there since SWSA opened. I think 2026 will be when we find out if a Sesame Place San Antonio is happening or not. If a Sesame Place San Antonio is not built, it could be the first sign that SEAS is ending its partnership with Sesame Workshop.

Currently it sounds like Sesame Workshop may be ending it's relationship with Sesame Workshop. They're having all kinds of financial problems since HBO ended their contract and just laid off half their staff (who were trying to unionize). Honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see Sesame Workshop bought out by another company-- the assets are still quite valuable.

Wasn't it in a contract that SEAS was supposed to open new Sesame parks before some approaching year? I just assumed the switch to Rescue Jr was the natural progression of this. If this is happening, I think the best location is to the left behind Discovery Point. That way they could utilize the entrance hub and existing parking lot. In a perfect world (would be unlikely) if they moved the shark exhibit into SeaWorld proper, they could fit a gate for Sesame place right at the hub. IMO, the shark exhibit should be moved to the main park. Now adays it feels like an afterthought tucked away and a lot of guests miss it. You could just leave Discovery Point as it's own thing. Will be interesting to see how they make this work.

Either a Sesame Place park or a resort hotel could go here. Although I would not be surprised if they don’t have the money for either of those projects at the moment - or if the demand is there for either.
