Did a little mockup of the current footer layout in planet coaster and this is what I came up with... footer spacing is based on the previous diagrams on this thread to scale. Still got a bit to go on supports but the idea is there I incorporated the lighthouse idea a bit.

Stats
500ft Tower
150ft Launched Inversion
Launch 1: 72MPH
Launch 2 (Inverted) : 90MPH
Launch 3: 120MPH

To my disbelief at this scale it actually fits and works. Ended up pulling the same design into no limits at the same scale and got pretty much the same results. Realistically I cant see the real version hitting 500ft but I wouldnt be surprised to see it hit 400ft. All accelerations, speeds, and friction modifiers check out.
Would you mind sharing the NL2 File? Asking for a friend ;). Seriously though, cool as hell to see, and 120 mph would probably get it there given how heavy the trains will be.

Lighthouse theme actually does make sense since the ride would be in the boardwalk area of the park, only just realized this now lmao

Great job on this btw

I made (a crude) No limits version! Physics are slightly different but nothing remarkable enough to make the whole design impossible. No limits has more accurate friction modifiers and physics in general so that would be the better thing to go off of. Fully modeled No Limits 2 mockup incoming? 😉

As for the planet coaster version, its done for now at least. I lowered the tower down into the 450 range and it works much better at that height. Top speed is now 116MPH which checks out since KK never actually reached 128 anyway. All supports are complete and train cycles pretty gracefully considering PC2 has no true forward launch shuttle coasters. Ill be uploading to the workshop if anyone is interested and wants to experiment with it / complete the theming and station.

One last interesting thing I thought I would share.... Six Flags did mention that this would be Longer then KK, and if you add the total traversed length of this model in both directions together it is in fact longer then KK.

Creation Code: 0V0DR430N

Thanks Again!

I almost wonder if they save the lighthouse theme for the drop tower teased in the surveys and put that in the GL plot
The drop tower I think is going in either the DDD or parachutes plot. Maybe even the slingshot plot if the rumors of that being removed are true

Looking at your mockups I feel like it should be themed to the Flintstones because it looks like a Brontosaurus based on the shape. It'll be like in the show's intro when Fred is at the end of his shift and rides down the back of the dinosaur.

Idk what Coliwood knows but in his recent video hes doing a lot of wink winks while saying superman might be getting rethemed and the plaza of superman is going to be massivly different soon and slingshot is going away while not saying anything.

Does anyone know what Colwood's affiliation is with the park? Has he worked / currently work for SFGAdv? His videos are great and he seems to know what he is talking about, however I'd like to know how he's connected to better understand the validity of the points he is making. Otherwise, without the first hand experience / park connections, his thoughts on the future are just enthusiastic conjecture.

I mean theres just not though. These youtuber people clearly know alot that we just don't. Look at the entire thing of Kas closing. Sooo many GP were in denial of it saying"they have no proof" "theyre just youtubers" "i can't wait to see their face when it's open next year"

So yea that played out well.

He clearly knows something and has a connection... I just wonder what it is. He also go permission to fly that drone over the parking lot and that probably is no small ask. I remember the marketing coordinator (when TGE had one) could not even get permission to fly a drone over the park.

A lot of that initial stuff came from ElToroRyan, who was in ride ops at the park previously. I’d imagine a lot of this (may) come him but that’s only speculative, in regards to the things that Coliwood hears. I’m sure alot of the YouTubers are well connected

This looks so cool, thanks for taking the time to create it with the footers. I think these pictures from this view still don’t do this potential ride justice (seeing it in person will be unreal). That first upside down hill/launch/airtime element is going to be absolutely massive in size. While there are not a lot of elements to this layout (like Ka), this is going to be a huge coaster.

No idea what Coliwood does or doesn't know, but this prediction really doesn't feel all that daring to me. This is an enormous investment and, given Cedar Fair's penchant for comprehensive area rethemes alongside major new attractions, I'd be shocked if the entire area around the coaster's station (ground zero for many recent removals and an absolute mess of an area broadly) wasn't altered dramatically as part of this project. Upcharge attractions are (thankfully) going extinct all around the chain. Meanwhile, Superman in particular has seemed like a very, very obvious retheme target from the start and I know the idea has been thrown around in discussions here for months now.

So yeah, hopefully he knows something, but either way, even if he doesn't, my expectations are that upcharge attractions are heading out and this ride will include major changes to its surrounding guest areas and, hopefully, fix some of the aesthetic, guest flow, and thematic mess that currently exists in the area.

Part of me kinda hopes Coliwood doesn’t really know anything, as he said he thinks GL is going to be replaced with parking. That’d be a massive L

The way he was talking in the video felt more like his own predictions than anything else to me, but it does seem very likely given Cedar Fairs history. My own guess is that this boardwalk renovation will be a multi phase expansion like Jungle X has been. Phase 1 will have a small coaster (Ragin Cajun), maybe some flats, a retheme to whatever other rides are left in the area, a facelift to everything else, and probably a restaurant refresh if they haven’t done that yet. Then phase 2 will have the major coaster and whatever other theming upgrades they still need to do.

I’m just hoping Cedar Fair has some kind of future headliner planned for the park, whether it’s in the next 5 years or the next 10 years. Even if the new coaster is good, that and Toro alone aren’t gonna be enough to draw people back to the park, especially after what they just pulled with removing all these rides.
