Then you try to escape... Again IF BGW does it right, you might hear Pluto yelling "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE" as the train makes the second launch. As you roll back up the spike you hear an eerie laugh... then down the spike onto the third launch "NO!" ...and finally escape through a beautiful landscaped run back to the station.

According to HOS/Demon Street, Hell is a pretty fun place. So maybe Pluto will just be a DJ and you won't want to escape. They can even use the techno music from HOS. Money saved.

Might be a stretch here, but could trains with on-board audio be out of the question?

Don't think so since the train models shown in the plans looked to be the standard models, nothing super obvious indicating anything for a battery pack anywhere. However technology has gotten a lot better to where a 90 second ride doesn't need 2 seats taken out for a batter box.

I don't remember anything for the electronics in the station either, if there was a bus-bar of some sorts in the station somewhere I would've pointed it out.

Seaworld filed a trademark back in April for "Abyss". Google tells me that can be defined as "the regions of hell conceived of as a bottomless pit. " Connection? Feels like a stretch, but you never know.
Honestly this seems like it could be a name they would go with, especially since under the "Goods and Services" category for the trademark it shows "Entertainment in the nature of a theme park ride."

The only issue with the theory though is it looks like the trademarks filed for Busch in recent history have been under "Seaworld Parks and Entertainment," whereas 'Abyss' is filed under "Sea World LLC," which I assume is the specific park.

Sounds more like an aquatic theme name. Perfect for SW. Keep thinking about the movie. Wouldn't that already be considered trademarked under entertainment also? How broad are trademark categories? I know little about intellectual property laws.

That movie is 'The Abyss'.
The name filing is almost certainly for Sea World not Busch.

^ This. I could be wrong, but I ignored the trademark hit for Sea World LLC versus SWPE for that reason exactly.

Somewhat off topic given the contextual assumption of Sea World proper, but there's a story on the trademark on another site here. It does reference a possible use at BGW, but discounts Abyss for MMXX as "it doesn’t sound Italian or European enough" and "out of all the parks and projects Abyss makes the most sense for SeaWorld San Antonio." (hope I got my quotes correct... ?)

Where's the old "Thanks" button when you need it? ? That's exactly what I've need doing though too, checking anything under SWPE for trademarks.

Maybe someone here could recall what day FF and Cutback were announced and compare to when the trademarks were filed. I'll check tomorrow for the dates of the initial trademark filings.

Edit: Finnegan's and Cutback's initial word mark TM filings were submitted on 9/5/18, and the logos were submitted on 9/6/18. It looks like the two rides were announced on 9/5, so if that is any indication for future filings, we won't see a trademark filed until 7/30 when they announce the coaster anyways.

As of yesterday there was a new ~75 foot crane at the site.

At the first launch:

16768

Green was a big trench dug up and red is where piles were being driven in

At the brake run:

16769

Green is a big trench dug up, but red are wooden frames in the shape of the footers, looking ready to pour.

It appears the long process of making the footers is starting in earnest.

I can't wait to check it out myself. I won't be back in until next week. So keep the updates coming
