Prizm: The Ultimate Laser Show runs from June 13th - July 6th. The laser show has a loose KD50 theme with mostly generic music. The show lasts roughly 16 minutes.

The show is certainly retro in the sense that it feels like you don't see straight-up indoor laser shows at major parks anymore.

Has there been an indoor laser show at some point in the past at Kings Dominion? I remember Kings Island had one in the early 90s.

Yes it's advertised as a returning show.

Watched this yesterday in the middle of the day to beat the heat. It's a cute show and it does integrate the history of the park into the show, and at least the songs are mercifully short.

I feel like I need to watch it again to really form a proper opinion. On one hand, it was a nice way to cool off and the music was relatively fun. On the other, it seemed very off.

And to be really critical, I didn't think the light show was that special and the laser projections were mostly generic. To me, the show feels like a plug and play show that KD paid a premium on to make some small adjustments, including an awful voice over.

The kids seemed to really enjoy it though. If that was the target audience, they nailed it. Wasn't all that great to me though. The Kings Dominion Theatre has had much better shows in the past.

I'm at least grateful that KD didn't let the theater sit dormant over the summer again.
