What I don't understand is, as a member, why the need to ask questions at the toll booth. The person in front of us at the toll booth was asking so many questions, which held our line up. The young lady running our toll booth was very efficient, its just the questions. She had our receipt, parking plackard and ID back to us in no time. I literally felt like we stopped for 45-60 seconds max.

I really believe this just comes down to people not being prepared and attendants not being consistent. Because of these inconsistencies we just hand the attendant our ID, pass, and credit card for the kennel and we are off. This alleviates the headache of being upset they didn't ask before, and are asking now.

I'm pretty sure on the back of the passes themselves they say you need ID to use the pass.

At least it used to before they changed everything.

As a Disney World Annual Passholder I can tell you they have similar issues. They normally ask for your ID along with your pass(in fact they are much more consistent about it) and give you a placard. But sometimes they don't ask for the ID or take longer for whatever reason. That being said it was the first day and there were undoubtedly a lot of new people working. It seems that we are forgetting that one of the reasons for sneak peak days is for the park to get new team members experience and to work out some bugs with guests who will hopefully be more understanding because they are members.

My neighbor bought her membership just a few weeks ago. She's only ever been to BG once or twice so she's EXTREMELY unfamiliar with the process. I could see her asking a lot of questions at the toll booth.

I was asked for my ID at the employee entrance and since that was the very first time I had been asked for it, I wasn't prepared so I had to dig it out.

TBF, they generally ask early in the season to see ID to check on the photo's. Last 3 years I've had to have my picture retaken at the entrance.

Out of state Military/Federal employees? They're looking only at the photo, not reading it.
They are aparently reading the name to see if it matches so read my zip as well. If it does not have a zip then ask.

Asking serves the same reasoning as when you go to a bar, they ID you, and still ask for your DOB. Make sure the ID is yours.
Huh, I have never in my life been asked for my birthdate when presenting ID Saturday, although I got carded at the festhause, she made me take it out of my wallet and said they have to check to see of its cracked, she was bending it so much I though it was going to break. Never seen that before.

I didn't get to go to the town hall meeting, which I really wanted to attend, because the traffic was so backed up and flow of vehicles through the ticket booths was so slow that even though I had 50 min from when I hit the traffic backup (10:40) to get in that didn't happen. I finally parked at like 11:20 and even though I was in the Germany lot (I only have the Unlimited pass so regular entrance for me) I still had to take the tram as they wouldn't let you walk across the road. So I knew all was lost for me to make it then. As was mentioned part of the problem was that there was only one attendant in the ticket booth vice two. As such I really hope that next year the park either a) moves the town hall back a half an hour or so or b) schedules two or more during the day. When I left at about 3pm the incoming traffic was still backed up a ways and the line to get in was backed up because of the metal detectors.
