Have you ever stopped to read the thematic story signs in the queue? They’re absolutely unhinged
Oh yes. And it's great how some are blocked by bushes now. That queue is ridiculous now that the crowds that used to fill it go to other rides in the park. 😄 All I hear waiting for the next train is the ride op by the stairs shouting "No!" and "Go around!"most of the time nowadays as people try to jump the bars at the front right of the queue and cross straight over to the stairs rather than take the long way round. But I'm glad they're cracking down on line-jumping. Still happens all over. Had more than my share of words with kids and teens jumping and trying to "my friend is at the front" me in long lines.

I got two rides on it back to back, the rear is way less janky than the front though there's potholes everywhere either way.

I rode B train twice yesterday. All I could stand. Rode it last row outside and lack row inside. Just awful. The car rattles and vibrates way too much. Even going up the lift hill. Thank god it's going out for a rebuild soon.

And people want old B&M back. They literally all rattle besides like a extremely select few

How old are these rides, and how well are they maintained, and how many are relocations?

Medusa didn't use to this much. A little vibration is fine; what it's doing now is almost Viper-esque. This is just the past few years increasingly as it ages. But the cars are a big part of it. Be very interesting to see how it rides after all the trains are rebuilt over the next 6-12 months.

Which ones? Medusa was built for Great Adventure in 1999. The maintenance the last 10 years, like everything else at the park, suffered somewhat. They're re-investing now with the new owner to bring rides back up to where they should be. El Toro is in year one of a two-year refurbishment.

I just liked that the only times I rode it a few weeks ago, I was able to get a solo train in the back without being as stapled as I accidentally did to myself up front.

Nobody there that day worked to my advantage.

Also, unlike other OTSRs, for some reason these ones didn't seem to extend out as far thus leaving what felt like a considerable gap.

Well unlike one of the content creators who rode it recently and reported a great, smooth ride, I tried Medusa again today. Like my 12th ride this year. And it was still janky and rough as hell like it's been every ride I've had on it since April. 🤷

I'd have to imagine you got at least one ride on each train if you have 12 total? I thought the rebuilt train (with the yellowish OTSRs) felt completely fine last weekend, but yeah, the one with the uniform darker green restraints is comically janky. To the point where it feels like you're on an entirely different ride.

On another note, I really hope a content creator posts another POV of this soon. There's a point where Project Purple is pretty much perfectly centered in the Dive Loop when you're on the brake run, and it's a great view.

I've ridden several cars on both trains, running fully loaded and lightly loaded. Visit before this, I even tried switching from outside left to outside right on one car between rides to compare since no one was in line. I had one decent ride in April on train #2 with the lime green restraints. After that, every ride on that one has been janky to me. Train #1 has been consistently terrible, including yesterday. The car shuddering and shaking (in straightaways and in turns), violent head whips, etc. It always had a little bit of those but now it's Viper-esque. Ride ops said they're both going away this year for total refurbishment.

It's a shame to hear that Medusa has gotten so rough. It's been quite a number of years since I've ridden it, but one of my favorite things about it when it first opened was how smooth it was compared to other rides at the time. Hopefully the refurbishment can get it back to being that way.

Viper, on the other hand, I remember being brutal very early on.

Exactly. It was so great in part because it was butter the whole way through. The fact it is far from that now shows how much the cars need work. Then we'll know if the track is also part of the problem. But after riding Batman this year, with its cars worked on and how much smoother it is now vs the lesser jankyness it started in recent years, I have to believe fresh wheels and other replacements to the cars of Medusa will make a big difference. Granted it's because it's at my home park so I experienced it first and often, but when Medusa opened and in the years since until recently, it was in my top 5 coasters in part because of how damn smooth it was and how that enhanced the experience of the loops and rolls, especially when it went flat out. Now there are trims in places there weren't in the past just adding to the rough overall ride.
