One of the two roller coasters that opened with the park is Manta, an Intamin launched roller coaster with one (maybe two? Can't really tell from the existing footage) inversion(s). Here is the description from the website:

"With 17 airtime moments and the world’s first zero gravity flip, this coaster will take you through dizzying loops and a bioluminescent tunnel that gives you a glimpse of the fascinating marine life of the Ray Reef."

No POV yet, but I will post one here once I find it.

4 total inversions, in order of the layout: Corkscrew (seen at 0:44), cutback/inverted tophat (0:22), heartline roll (0:25), Inverted stall (0:39). This thing looks AWESOME!

Ride looks fantastic and well done for a Seaworld park. The one thing that would be like like the cherry on top, would be some form of a water interaction. Both the SWSD and the SWO manta coasters have water interactions. Other than that, bravo.

Not sure if it has been asked or answered anywhere, but do platinum passes now include admission to this park? Not that I plan on going anytime soon, and more curious than anything else.

I haven't seen anything, but I doubt it. They would probably raise the prices claiming we get more benefit despite 99% of platinum pass members never going to the new park.

No they don't.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is owned and operated by Miral who is licensing the brand from SEAS. It's similar to the way Oriental Land Company owns and operates the Tokyo Disney Properties. Miral also owns the other theme parks in Abu Dhabi's Yas Island like Ferrari World, Warner Brothers World and Waterworld and they offer a Diamond Pass that includes admission to all their properties there.

Here is a video of the pre-show for Hypersphere 360° from Attractions Magazine and a preview of the ride from Attraktion!

On ride recording is not allowed which is why the only video of the ride in motion is from Attraktion! (which developed the ride in partnership with Intamin).

Here is more information on Hypersphere 360° from Intamin and Attraktion!'s website.

No one can convince me that this is better than something like a flying theater. I'm glad one was built because it certainly is novel, but I just don't understand how this is ever better than any of the more traditional simulator ride systems.

I guess if it could spin fast enough you could simulate acceleration-type forces? Seems hard to justify in a giant ring with a 360° view where everyone has to feel like they're traveling forward.

Just feels like a ride system in search of a storytelling purpose.

Dome 4-D theaters are always better than a traditional IMO (I.E. IMAX Dome Theaters). With a top speed of roughly 10mph, height of over 50ft and 60° tilt, the full scale immersion is really on display. This combines all nuances of new age flying theaters with a 75 mil pixel 6K dome master.
