I'm going to try to do a tour of Illuminights tomorrow night and I need to know one very important thing:

Where do you get the Illuminights cake?

I didn't see IIlluminights last year at all. I was really impressed by (most of) it when I watched it, for the fist time, last week. BUT, I agree with Haberdasher: that tinsel is ugly.

It was nice to have some shows to watch that actually played up the magic and what not, and weren't just the same old "standards review" type of stuff.

I got some in the Festahus, but I am sure you can get it at any of the restaurants.

One letter can make a world of difference.

The worst part is I edited to fix spelling mistakes....... I need to go to bed

is there anything special that is done for the last night of illuminights? Heard a rumor that they do an extra amount of fireworks using ones that are left over from nights that it stormed and fireworks were canceled. is this true?

Yeah. The illuminights fireworks are lackluster in comparison to the 4th of july fireworks. I was actually amazed by the 4th fireworks, the music on the other hand... Oh boy.

I dont know too much about fireworks so im not gonna sit there and pick them apart like I do the new shows, rides and HOS.

I think the presentation is a little sloppy. Specifically the music. Fireworks in general are awesome always, but I think if they are gonna make it a show and a major drawing point for spending time in the park, they could be better. Atleast the syncing with the music and the musical selections...

Also, I dont think I was really complaining there, just stating an opinion...

The Fourth fireworks are an institution. Every American person has seen fireworks displays pretty much every Independence Day for their whole lives. Add to that the fact that it's the most important national holiday, and it would both insulting and highly noticeable if the fireworks on the Fourth weren't any good.

But on regular Illuminights nights, what can you really ask for? They shoot fireworks into the air, they blow up, they play some music. It's enjoyable. I mean, it's no "Wishes" or "IllumiNations," but let's be honest: Busch Gardens is no Disney, either. Could they come up with a themed show? Definitely. Could it be better than it is? For sure, without a doubt...and it wouldn't even have to be anything elaborate or expensive...

...but don't you think it's even a little bit fun, just as it is?

Granted the fireworks themselves are great rounds with a great burst. I saw it for the first time tonight. The music during it is horrendous and sounds like a bad rendition of a Disney Parade song.

It would seem as if since the buyout a certain group who is used to competing with Disney has forgotten there is no REAL competition in this area.

Is it "Fun" enough to bring me up from Hampton every night like say oh, Imaginique?

No.

This.

No.

You know what? That's fair.

Imaginique was the greatest thing Busch Gardens ever did.

Word to your moms on that. I would have utilized the ole caps lock on that 'ever' though.

BGW, I know you read this site. Y'all were straight up dumb for letting Imaginique go. Dumb with a capital stupid. *I* traveled from the far away land 20 minutes down the road they call Hampton every night for Imaginique.

This is probably an impossible request but during illuminights before watching voila when i went, a catchy song in i'm not sure what language (most likely french) was playing and its been killing me to find the name of it, help?

They play Celine Deion there, so is it possible that it's one of hers?

Not exactly what you were looking for, but it could be a lead in this mystery.

There was a catchy song there that I heard and I tagged it. It was Celine Dion - Priere Paienne. Could that be it?

Much of what they play in Acquitaine is by a group called French Affair. While I was waiting to see Voila, about every third song was from their album "Rendezvous."
