Im thinking about auditioning in a year or two. I love acting at school, for my principles enjoyment. But i can do a perfect British accent i would LOVE to be Jack or someone else on Ripper Row. (Why im waiting so long, Im terrified of trying out)
TBH, you dont have to be great to get the job, just good enough. ive seen someone do a fairly crappy audition and get the job, because the way they carried themselves. Just be able to do some sort of scream,growl,etc.and you should be alright.If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.(Also, its kinda fun during auditions, and even more fun working, it almost outweihs it when guests attack you, which the worse ive had hapen as i was spit on...)
I believe someone once told me, as long as you show up and move you'll get the job.
In Williamsburg, they usually just cast people because they are worried that they won't get enough people to run the event. Once they cast the actors, however, the way they try to decide where to put them is based on their ability to effectively scare. Most of the time, they give the more complicated jobs to the better actors. For example, Root of All Evil would be nothing without the actor enthusiasm that they had. Usually, the less adaptable actors will be given a position where they have a surefire way to scare someone. The actors who aren't as effective have more stuff to work with, but better actors are usually put in scare zones, or potentially ineffective mazes such as RoAE and CTC.

Well, I plan on doing it all again next year, and i know this is off topic, but i just wanted to say that I will not be posting any more insider info. Well, I wouldnt say they just hire anybody, but if you can scream or be creepy, or growl, they can fit you in.But, depending on how amny goood/great audutions they get will etermine your ability to just do a crappy audition,..Always try your best. thats how you get jobs like the demon DJ,Vlad,or the joker pirates. Yu have an oustanding audition, and have a good relationship for the park.I mean, Night Beats was written for the guy who plays Ulrich.
Well, I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume Gabe didn't land the part as Ulrich by auditioning to be a scare actor.
