That coaster looks nuts, agreed, but can we take a second to look at how beautiful the theme and design is?
Pulled from the Coasterforce Forums via user Jonsson:
- "In an interview with Dagens Nyheter (major Swedish newspaper) the CEO of Parks & Resorts, Christer Fogelmark, stated that they are in talks with several manufacturers regarding the coaster. He also stated that it's supposed to include a "world's first".
- He also said the expansion is fully financed and planned to open in 2028. The building permits submitted now are for the perimeter buildings, which will be the first to be built.
- The theme for the whole area will be the Stockholm exhibition of 1897 during which a 100 meter long large hall with displays of the latest machinery was situated on the same spot as Gröna Lund now will expand.

It appears the large Vekoma thrill coaster in 2028 has been paused, and now we're expecting two new rides in 2027: a new indoor dark ride and a Gerstlauer Airtime Coaster (named Fenix) to replace Jetline!

Technically it'll be 3 new rides for next year, as the existing bobsled coaster Vilda Musen will be significantly reworked to structurally tie into this new coaster.
It appears the large Vekoma thrill coaster in 2028 has been paused, and now we're expecting two new rides in 2027: a new indoor dark ride and a Gerstlauer Airtime Coaster (named Fenix) to replace Jetline!

This is a win for the park and also such an oddity, because this is still going to be a very compact space and Mecalodon is anything but. Building tall with a low to the ground multilaunch will be interesting, especially because they can't really pull out the vertical launch card on this one.

2027 Announcement tomorrow at 4am Eastern.
Once again I will reiterate that the expansion and big Vekoma have been put on ice, as Jetline happened and then a bunch of other rides and structures simultaneously reached end of life. What's been happening in the last few seasons is a big house-cleaning effort to bring the existing park back up to speed.

- A rebuilt Vildare Musen with new supports and mild profiling changes.
- A brand new intertwining Gerstlauer Airtime Coaster.
- A trackless dark ride using the space underneath the two coasters.
- A new or heavily refurbished Breakdance indoors.

Well we got confirmation of Gröna Lund's 2027 dark ride: Score.
Is it just me, or does the 3-across seating make this look like the first Multi-Dimension Mover? Given Gröna Lund and Tivoli's history with Intamin, I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think it's AI generated, not going to lie.
The park also released concept art that I don't think is AI generated either. It looks consistent with the style and quality of other Jora Vision concept art (who is working on this dark ride).
Again, we can see the show featuring the 3 across, row 2 seating configuration.
So it turns out this is a Vekoma trackless darkride!!
It was just announced at IAAPA Europe.
