i despise grizzly, now before you all crucify me, hang on. i have only ridden it in 2022 on a wheel seat and it was the single roughest coaster i have ever ridden period. my father who works with actual jackhammers said grizzly jackhammering was worse than any machine/tool he's ever worked with.

HOWEVER. i despise freespins more. there were at least some redeeming qualities to grizzly when i rode it. yea it was rough but it had a really nice setting back in the woods. tumbili has nice theming but after that the ride is pure torture. its my fave freespin, but its still in my bottom half of my credits.

No one will crucify you for thinking it sucked before the refurb

Just rode it yesterday, and I noticed the final couple of hills before the brake run are still jackhammering me a bit. Was this final portion retracked, and, if not, are there plans to? I feel like one of those hills could have some killer airtime if it wasn’t for the bumps.

Other than that this ride is offering some ELITE airtime in the back and is running phenomenally.

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think that part of the ride was re-tracked. I agree too, it's the only part of the ride that is rough and it would have some nice airtime moments if it got some work done. The back car definitely is the best place for airtime. First drop, and the hills before and during the tunnel is pretty wild.

I kinda like the transition of new to old. It reminds you of what it used to be kinda. It’s not THAT rough or a problem to me.
I agree that it’s not unbearable, but for some of my friends/family it definitely detracts from the ride, and I feel like there’s just some missing potential on those last little hills that could be brought out if it was smoother.

I think it would have LESS airtime and excitement without the bumps, but wonder how long it can go without getting that little bit worse that makes it too rough.

I love Grizzly and the fact it’s receiving recognition. I strongly think the Golden Ticket coaster rankings are completely arbitrary. I definitely don’t think Grizzly is superior to Texas Stingray or Goliath at Six Flags Great America (let alone Phoenix being the #1 woodie). Regardless I am glad to see Grizzly get recognition post Gravity Group retrack.

I have a confession.

Even after reriding grizzly with its retrack (and THANK GOD ITS ACTUALLY SMOOTH NOW) I am still not a fan. I think the ride is mostly boring and even if it has some airtime moments it can’t make up for how absolutely abysmal the layout is. Racer 75 absolutely sweeps.

Grizzly honestly has some of the best airtime I’ve ever experienced and on the other hand racer 75 felt like a couch simulator the last time I did it

I agree. The last car provides some amazing airtime on the first drop, the hills before and during the tunnel. While Twisted Timbers is my favorite in the park as far as airtime goes, Grizzly is easily second.

There are some awesome airtime moments, from the first drop, the drop off the turn and then the second to last hill into the station but Grizzly’s airtime in the tunnel is ELITE. If I can get enough room from the lap bar, it tries to swap what side of the train I’m sitting on. The second to last row, left side is my favorite seat
