Looks like Worlds of Fun's wacky worm may be a goner? People are saying it hasn't operated all year, but it's still pretty wack to be deconstructing a coaster without an announcement—particularly when Enchanted Parks management has been in front of thoosies so recently.

Guess there's some chance they're just disassembling it to refurb it...? Even then an announcement would be warranted though in my opinion...

If it is dead, I really hope the park has a quick solution to get another kiddie coaster online ASAP. A park like this should never be without a children's coaster.

In all fairness, it’s very bizarre that a Wacky Worm stuck around at a Cedar Fair park for the 30 years they owned it. Not to say it didn’t fill a spot in the lineup, it certainly did, but I’m shocked this wasn’t replaced 20+ years ago. Really do hope Enchanted has a replacement planned or at least in mind.

The facebook post is gone now, but it is interesting that there was a rush to remove it before July 4th and the contractor is working overtime to get the job done. Why the rush?

If the park is jumping on a contractor for posting photos of the work, one really has to ask why the park isn't just announcing the work in question instead. And yeah, the claim re: rushing to disassemble it is deeply weird. Insane to call up a contractor and tell them you need a coaster gone within days. I get that it's a portable model, but WTF would possibly justify the urgency? Feels sorta mismanagement-y or even cover-up-y to me...
