Much like this year's new Das Festhaus Howl-O-Scream show, the new Christmas Town show, Christmas Town Live, is fantastic. It EASILY surpasses Up on the Haustop, but I'd argue that it's even on par with the original and spinning fireplace versions of Deck the Halls (not the later iterations that were consistently degraded for years before its eventual cancellation).

I seriously think the show is nearly perfect. It does exactly what a great Festhaus Christmas Town show needs to: it absolutely nails the fun, secular, commercial Christmas that the original Deck did. Better yet though, the cast is great, the musical arrangements are good, and the chorography is strong, varied, and clever—aided in large part due to the camera gimmick throughout.

Between this and Skeletones In Your Closet, it sorta feels like we're in, at minimum, a miniature BGW entertainment renaissance. Both of these shows not only vastly surpass their predecessors, but they're also just independently very good.

Skeletons and this show were created by two different team members. It’s great to see some depth to the parks talent pool.

I’ve also noticed the incline in quality of BGW shows. Makes me sad that KD has basically no control of their shows (the shows themselves are written by corporate and it shows).

Anyway, the Skeletones show was awesome and I hope that I can make it out to see this show soon!

They may want to consider changing the first showtime. Park held everyone in England until opening at 5PM. Arrived at the Feasthaus at 5:10PM. Food was not yet ready to serve. Finally got myself some cake using my double food discount reward (and paid as much as the first time I bought cake years ago). Then they cancelled the first show (5:15PM) of the day for technical reasons (looked like issues with the wheeled platforms) at 5:19PM.
Edited to add: After seeing the 6:45 show, this is a very solid show, perfect for the venue.
Also, the early show time is quite nice if you are trying to get as many shows as possible which is important for day tickets - which will get harder once 'Twas the Night starts next week. Maybe they could let people out of Banbary Cross ten minutes before park opening?

I agree with @Zachary that this show is fantastic. I happen to get talking with the two actors that were out in front of Santa's Workshop (lady on stilts and her partner) and she told me that this show was done by the same person(s) who did the new HOS show and they came down to BGW to work on these shows from NYC after initially working at BGW. Take this info as you will.
At any rate here's some pics of the show to enjoy.

That's the one I wanted to see when we went. It was very good indeed, and I don't like doing the shows.
