I think you need to get a voucher at the kiosk. If it's like Pantheon, later in the day anyone will be able to ride

I would love if they exceeded my cinical expectations and carried that level of care and attention throughout not only queue theming but the ride itself. Not necessarily saying physical sets, just the equivalent level of thought put forth. Obviously this isn't mind boggling levels of theming, but it is where this park should be shooting for as their bar. Verbolten queue, BfE preshow room, Burgermeister's Hideaway type stuff.

The "paranormal investigation" take is good, I like it. I assume that is the motivation behind the equipment, since I have been blocking out any verbiage descriptions of the tact of the story. The ride theming should be set up in a way to tell the story itself without it having to be explained, thus is how I frame my viewing of a ride's story, and so far I am getting paranormal investigation out of this.

From the Busch Gardens Williamsburg Uncensored FB page…possibly the pre show room?
Maybe this is already a known factor, but this really reminds me of the setups for Unearthed and Beneath the Ice at HoS. Could this be another A.U.R.A. research project gone wrong?

Okay, yeah. Let’s start with the theming. I’ll keep it short enough because it’s confusing. Basically, it’s themed to a snow storm, I mean thunderstorm, but I really mean - It’s themed to a hurricane in Virginia but actually in Germany, because you know, Germany is the area of the park the ride is located, but according to a “live weather feed” it’s actually hurricaning (is that a word?) in Virginia. Did that make sense? Yes? Okay good.

There are Ski’s in the queue, and ghost hunting equipment, and… evidence that it has recently iced up around the castle, but inside the castle…. There’s ghost hunting (NOT a pre-show) doing some pretty crazy animated things with hurricane radar right next to it. Still following?

Get on the bikes and begin with a really cool pre-dispatch sequence before a screen in front of you (Displayed to look like a castle window) ices up before you take a sharp left to go “outside” to face the “blizzard” that actually never snows, and instead thunderstorms and shit with clouds that change colors *sometimes*. If you thought that was cool, you’re going to love the lightning strikes, the demented dementors, the fog and the… Cardboard cutouts of the old trees in DarKastle?

The actual ride is cool. The lighting is really fun. And despite me dissing on the huge cluster of theming that makes no sense in the queue, the finished ride product isn’t too bad. Still some things to fix for sure, and I believe they can be fixed before opening, BUT I believe this is a ride that has a lot going on to comprehend even with 2 laps. Even after 6 rides I was still trying to gather everything going on.

Definitely the most tame ride in the park behind Grovers, though the launches have good punches. Wayyyy more on ride theming than I expected. I only listed bits and pieces. It’s got a lot going for it. If you can get past the thunderstorm… I mean blizzard… I mean hurricane in Germany and Virginia at the same time while ghost hunting *something?* then you are in for a treat.

Also, you get eaten at the end of the ride. Best part by far.

Who cares that my sentences in the spoiler above make no sense. Come back to my spoiler after you ride and you will understand.
