I know it won’t happen but if they really want to pull crowds away from CH/Cobra then they’re going to need to theme this thing to make people actually want to come. If not, I see it going to same way as Scorpion or Sand Serpent where people only ride it when they pass by later in the day
I bet the Orangatangarang would be a crowd pleaser 😁

Kinda mind-boggling how they tore out half of Pantopia, including a ride with the same footprint as DarKoaster, and somehow the combined area is only big enough for a small shuttle coaster. I'll be interested to see how they try and differentiate this from Tigris, or any of the other family boomerangs opening next year, if that's what this ends up being. It'll really need a lot of unique theming to be noteworthy, otherwise it's going to fly under the radar for most people.

In your opinion, what's more likely???

A: Rename of Painted Camel (again)
B: Ride themed to Camels...

Unless the park president is riding in on a Camel to celebrate like Egypt 96, I don't care.

I'll be really sad if Painted Camel is tossed. It felt like the heart and soul of Pantopia to me. I know it has been downgraded dramatically over the years and it probably isn't much to speak of now, but, ugh.

There was a time I considered Pantopia a bit of an abomination—it seemed to throw out decades of thematic effort to instead rely on some bright paint, eclectic fixtures, and a nonsense story about a fake place that would just be thematically convenient to BGT at the time.

That said, now, Pantopia feels so far above and beyond what current SEAS would ever be willing to provide a park. It almost makes me want to protect and defend Pantopia—not because I like Pantopia, but because I want to fend off whatever horrible downgrade would inevitably follow.

Dark times for the Busch parks.

Truly The Dark Continent

I think BGW is better than us right now, and I've never felt that way ever before. Removed theming but still more theming, intamin swing launch, near hyper invert, 210 ft hyper, woody, better show(s), truly themed water ride w drop, AN INDOOR RIDE!!! Maybe not 10 min dispatches?? Dare I say a hybrid retrack isn't luring the crowds desired with the current state of the park as a whole.

Haven't been to BGT since 2005. but it was a great time for me back then.

New ride will be a Hyper themed to Camel's Humps.

The ride will be called "Iron Hump: Jump the Humps."

Don't like it? Head to BGW for the 2025 attraction to replace Drachen Fire, tentatively dubbed "DrachenFirehouse Subs - The Ride: "Feel the Hot."

SEAS is a bit lost, but the money flows in. Staying lost is thus assumed to be, "okay."

10 minute dispatches seems to be a gross exaggeration, I visit the park frequently and while the ops are not the best in the world, they are far from the worst. Average between 2-3 minutes per dispatch, some faster some slower.

While I will admit 10min dispatches to be rare, I have witnessed them on Iron Gwazi on more than one occasion. Staffing is so ridiculous, that in peak season, Cheetah has 30 min QQ wait, line stretching down the ramp, yet station 2 somehow still empty. Why run 3 trains on sheikra if there's 1 station being used? Just guarantees you'll be waiting 3-5 minutes after.

Just checked the permits on Accela for BGT and came across one that was created today that describes some revisions that need to be done to the plans that BGT submitted (which are secured, meaning that regular people can't access them) and one of the revisions describes something about a locker area. Would a family shuttle coaster require lockers or do you all think that they could have just made small cubbies given that a shuttle coaster only has one train in operation at a time? (Attached is the file in which all of the revisions are listed)

Does Tigris have lockers or am I misremembering? I wouldn't think too much of this; BGT wouldn't pass up the opportunity to make an easy $5 on every family/individual that rides it. IIRC they actually even removed the cubbies from existing rides so people would have to pay for lockers.

Tigris has lockers, only major attraction that allows you to bring loose articles into the queue is Falcon's Fury, as they still use a bin system.
