Your Guide to The Old Country (1976)

People seemed to like the 1976 Kings Dominion Information Book I posted so I spent some time tonight scanning in another gem...

The only date I could spot in this booklet is the 1975 copyright year for the Reynolds Metals Company ad on the back. Given that Oktoberfest is featured on the map however, 1975 seems unlikely. Pulling up calendars from 1975, the operating dates listed don't make much sense either. That said, the dates match up perfectly with 1976. Unless proven otherwise, I feel confident saying this is a brochure from 1976.

This is the first time I've posted, although I follow your site regularly. I couldn't resist writing about this gem of a brochure. It brings back SO many good memories. It mentions the celebration of the bicentennial so 76 would appear to be the correct year. Another great find so cool to look at.

Not gonna lie, this brochure's generous word count dedicated to highlighting the park's trees makes me a bit wistful for the BGW of the 80s. (Never mind the 70s; I wouldn't have remembered a thing.)
