Ok, has anyone heard anything or seen anything about xcelerator? Considering what’s going on with ttd, I think we should also think about what will happen to xcelerator.

It’s a specific part they need for the ride and won’t be able to get until at least the end of the year.

ETA: Xcelerator's issues have nothing to do with TDD. And despite all the construction projects going on at parks right now, the industry is being impacted by supply chain issues and will be for a while.

One could also say that TTD's removal has nothing to do with TTD's "issues" either.

Interesting all the cable launched Intamins seem to be having the same problem at the same time. Glad Hershey waited to keep SR’s launch the same. Maybe it speaks to the forces generated at launch and the mechanicals ability to withstand it.

It’s probably just the wear and tear of all the moving parts. Like with magnetic launches, no moving parts n stuff, but with this, all the brake fins on the launch track, if just one singular one fails to come up or go down, it’s a breakdown (from what etr says)

Hydraulics are annoying from an engineering perspective regardless of the industry. If you have the opportunity to remove it for something electronic, it is almost universally encouraged to reduce complexity. Hydraulics and their surrounding systems just always find a way to be a pain in the ass in unique systems, unfortunately the energy bang for buck you get out of them sometimes is simply required.
