Voyage to the Iron Reef is an interactive dark ride from Triotech under construction at Knott's Berry Farm. The ride will employ several nine-person cars which run along a flat track. Similar to Curse of Darkastle at BGW or The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at IOA, the individual cars will buck and pitch in motion simulator-like movements in time to large projection screens throughout the ride. The difference between those two existing dark rides, however, is that Voyage will also offer an interactive element, allowing guests to use guns to shoot at animated targets on-screen. The video screens will play in real-time, sort of like a video game, and the outcome of the story depends on how well the riders shoot the targets.

Cedar Fair first partnered with Triotech to open Wonder Mountain's Guardian at Canada's Wonderland, a combination roller coaster and dark ride. Unfortunately, WMG was highly criticized for its rushe
