A few months ago, Universal demolished the long vacant Soundstage 44 and started construction for a new building. Is it Transformers? I have heard they will announce this VERY soon, I'm hearing end of HHN. Here are some pics

EDIT: I changed the topic to rumors at Uni in general, since Transformers is close to announcement

RE: Transformers?

Don't really see why it needs a dedicated thread. There are several Uni projects known/unknown, announced/unannounced that do not have threads. USF is getting a close to carbon copy of Cali's that is moving well ahead of schedule to open Spring. Nothing big there.

RE: Transformers?

Five minutes ago on facebook:
The countdown has begun fans: we’ve got something BIG coming to Universal Orlando. So BIG, it will blow your mind when the clock strikes zero. What could it be…?
Countdown with us and check back on Nov 1st at 7:30pm to find out!

RE: Transformers?

funny. i heard a rumor about annoucement on the 1st... it wont just be transformers from what i know...

I've heard a rumor going around that Shrek is on the chopping block as well as I love Lucy, and the Universal store. all those could be gone for a new attraction. maybe a house of horrors type thing. also, word on the street is that the stage in the permit is for the Nov 1st announcement. A Seuss addition is in the works. T2 Upgrades may happen(not kidding). A rumored Springfield may be announced with Transformers on Nov 1. the WWOHP part 2 may be featured around the 7th book( the first is set around the 4th). and lastly, A kidzone revamp including a possible ET revamp is in the works. There is a lot of work being done right now!

Shrek: Dead
ILL: Dead
Suess addition: heard it as well, although I heard it's not happening until after WWOHPp2 is done.
T2: Doubt it
Springfield: Heard it but doubt it
WWOHPp2: we'll see when the construction is further on, sounds believable
Kidzone: Definitely possible
ET: I'd rather have it replaced but that's possible, too.

ET really is one of those timeless franchises. The ride is obviously starting to feel very dated, but I would rather see an update than a full replacement.

ET cannot leave, Spielberg said he will remove all his ride contracts if another one is retired, that means no JPRA and the removal of the second best themed land in IOA. ET is here to stay until Spielberg pulls out of his nostalgia zone.

Just speculating but I think Woody Woodpecker's Nut House coaster might get a good update when the Woody Woodpecker movie is officially announced. Right now the movie isn't slated to debut until early 2014.

It's the Junior-Junior Vekoma Model of its brother in the park on yonder (i.e. Next Door). It's one of the oddest coaster pairings that any park complex can have.
