I mentioned forever ago that this was in the works and now, finally, it's going to happen! I haven't been excited about a BGW show in a very, very long time. I'm excited for this one.

The park seems to be getting some negative feedback in the comments of their Facebook post for stating that the same people behind London Rocks(and Scrooge No More) will help produce this show. It's surprising how many people downright despise London Rocks...
It looks like there is a big cedar-colored wooden fence around the stage. I wonder if/how this will affect Catacombs.

Just a question: When was the last time an animal attraction was "sacrificed" for an entertainment attraction?
All of the Zoo cuts, while Entertainment created new shows and expanded Porno Nights just this year.
That isn't really fair.
Just because Entertainment added a single new show (not to mention removing two shows) does not mean another department is being sacrificed in its wake. In fact, Entertainment is down a show from last year, meaning it too has experienced budget cuts.
Also, despite the event's duration technically being longer, Star Spangled Nights also appears to have been cut down budget-wise as well. Fireworks only go off on weekends now, which means the bulk of the event's spending is actually reduced. Sure the decorations are up longer, but it doesn't cost any extra money to keep up decorations for a longer period of time.
I don't believe there is as much of a battle between departments occurring as some seem to imply.

cutting one show and removing most of the animals are not the same. Removing most of the animals cuts a department to the bone. Removing one show means very little.

The cost of this ice skating bonanza is going to be exceptionally high. Maintaining ice is not a cheap proposition. I have serious doubts that it will actually draw in any more people that were not already there. I have trouble finding a scenario that this little endeavor would EVERY build revenue.

Again, with the diminishing of certain aspects of Entertainment this year, I don't think the park is sacrificing other departments to enhance Entertainment.
Heck, with an expanded Food & Wine Festival, improved landscaping, and the addition of a new coaster, the same argument could be made that Zoo is being "sacrificed" for Culinary, Landscaping, and Construction & Maintenance, respectively.
