Um……so I’m going to be at *checks notes* this place called “Six Flags Magic Mountain” *restrains overwhelming East coast thoosie hype* for the first time next Friday and Saturday.

Open to close both days. Not paying for Fright Fest, paying for Flash Pass Gold Saturday. Going to Knotts (Berry and Scary) for the first time next Thursday as well. Looks like all the coasters are actually back up per the app at MM (obviously no Xcelerator or Zum at Knotts 😭).

So any advice, exciting comments, tidbits to be aware of before taking a breeze plane to LAX next Thursday? I’m low key extremely hype for this one. Going with another enthusiast for their first time as well so it’s gonna be great.

@CoasterAuditor - From spending a couple days at SFMM back in July, I was surprised (borderline appalled) by how bad some of the lines got due to general operations. On the days I was there (a Thursday and a Saturday) both X2 and Tatsu were running just one train, with dispatches typically taking a whopping 5 minutes or more. So though you plan to get the Gold Flash pass, make sure to get to both early in the day - as even with the pass, for Tatsu you get dumped into the general line well before the station.

Speaking of X2, get ready for a wild ride. I love that coaster, where it's usually in my top 10. But the train running back in July seemed to be having major issues performing smooth rotations of the seats; where the jerky/non-fluid rotations were downright painful. Hopefully they've worked out the issues, where you get to experience the true craziness/uniqueness of that coaster. But if not, just be sure to set expectations.

And regarding Knotts, I'm sure you've got that one planned out. But make sure to get as many rides as you can on GhostRider during the day, and carve out time for some awesome night rides. And on some days, though the lines may deter riding Timber Mountain, make sure to not pass that one up (as won't find a more classic flume).
