Tomorrowland

Maybe it's nothing, but I thought this was pretty interesting. Tomorrowland could really use an update, and honestly, it's the only area of MK I want to see Disney touch for a little while. The rest of their time should be devoted to their other parks on the resort which are pretty lacking by comparison. With a Tomorrowland movie coming out late next year, could Disney possibly be thinking about tying this into an overhaul of Tomorrowland at MK? Tomorrowland has a lot of noteworthy attractions, particularly Space Mountain and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor (don't try to abbreviate that one, by the way). However, some of the offerings, like Stitch's Great Escape, aren't quite so grand. They could renovate the entire area and add some kind of new show or other attraction related to the movie. Maybe they'll wait to see how successful it is first. Just something to think about.

Care to elaborate? Personally, I think Frontierland is fine, especially since Splash was just spruced up. Tomorrowland, conversely, is really dated and is in need of a major facelift. Again, this is totally speculative, but I would love to see something done in Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland was supposed to get love in the form of a DL style retrack of Space Mountain a few years back but management chopped budget. Since then not much is on the books for Tomorrowland attraction wise. The only true item on a drawing board for MK at the moment is wiping Tom Island out, making the Riverboat static, and building something in the style of Western River Exp (key word is style). That is not a project chugging to greenlight at the current moment either. Just IF something were to happen there that is the most likely at this point in time.

I agree, TL is a train wreck of theme and offerings.

Tomorrowland is comparable to a box of potpourri. It really needs a kick in the right direction, but with Disney's attention focused elsewhere in the meantime it isn't happening any time soon.

Man, Space Mountain badly needs that retrack. DL's version is very good, but I really hate MK's. I don't think the island should go, even though it is taking up a good bit of real estate. I still think Tomorrowland is the only spot in MK that Disney should devote any attention to. They have so much untapped potential there. Why is there not a Wall-E ride in TL yet? However, I do think Monsters is a bit underrated; it's one of my favorite Disney attractions. I've seen that show too many times to count. And as cheesy as it is, I've always liked Buzz Lightyear, although Midway Mania is light years better. Personally, I'd like to see Carousel of Progress go, but too many Disney fanboys would go ballistic. And what's with the dance party? I just feel a little sad when I'm in that area of the park. Don't even get me started on the Yesterdayland Speedway...
