Welcome to the Tips & Helpful Info thread. I have dedicated this thread to providing useful tips to help you have a smoother visit when visiting the park. I have also had a series of informative threads for a little while now dating as far as back January 2013. These threads give you a detailed look at the inside of certain topics to help you better understand the park and are prepared when visiting.

Please note, I have been overly busy with very little days off to really work on any threads. With summer now on the way, I fear I am going to get over loaded, so currently most threads are out of date. I am working on updating them as I have time to. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to post in any thread any new updated info to help myself and others out, thank you.​


Using the Informative Threads[/SIZE]]

Each of my threads is set up in a specialized format that is designed to help you find the information you need or desire fast. First, the thread’s title gives you a general idea of what the thread is about. It typically contains one or two topics such as: Deals & Discounts, Tickets & Passes, or Security & Safety.  

Inside each thread you will find that is it broken down into sections, the best it can be. Each of the sections is hidden and in order to view them, you must click the (Click to View) link. That will open the section to it’s fullest. You can click the (Click to Hide) link in order to close each section that you are finished with or do not need.

You will notice the first section is already unhidden and cannot be hidden. This is because the first section is deemed to be the most important section that most people visit the thread for. This allows having the information you want ready as soon as possible. Sometimes, this section may just very well be an about section that gives you an idea of what the topics covers and how it affects you in-park experience.

Due to the constant minimal changes that are done unannounced, some features and formatting does vary; however, each thread follows the same general idea and format. I always accept input, feel free to privately message me or leave a post below about what you like, hate, would change, leave alone, any comments, questions, suggestions, etc. Also stay tuned to this thread as I like to announce my updates to any or all of these threads, I will do so in this thread.

I updated the OP with more Helpful Notes. These ones are centered around being stuck in the park during inclement or severe weather. I've really gone into details with these notes so each one is about a paragraph. If you read the first sentence or two, as well as the last one you kind of get the whole idea of the note.

Version 11.1 has now rolled out. This version of my informative threads, mainly touches on reorganizing this thread to include renaming it. The goal of this update was to just make this page have more of a reason and more support for the other threads. It is the one stop spot for finding all the right information. Let me know what you love and what you hate.

EDIT: Of course I am still continuing to tweak the page further but nothing too serious. I might rename the sections, change formatting slightly, but yeah that is about it.

So I just wanted to let you know, I worked on three versions so far. V11.2, V11.2.1, and V11.2.2 which is nothing too drastic, but noticeable. V11.2 is reforming the Deals & Discounts thread and just some overall cleaning the thread up and updating it with the best information. V11.2.1 and V11.2.2 dealt with working on a link and then fixing it as well as some changes in bolding.

My next goal is V11.3 which I want to focus on the Tickets & Passes thread. I have some new ideas I want to try out first, but I also want to update the information and make sure it is accurate. So you can look forward to a more up-to-date thread. I also was thinking of adding WCUSA tickets and passes. They will not reflect discount prices, but the full retail price since there is already a thread that is for deals and the such.

I did want to say I am starting to look at new features I want to add into V12.0. There is one particular feature that has really got my interest and it will drastically change two of my current threads and I want to be able to make sure it is a wise and useful feature before making things more or less permanent.

Also if anyone has any ideas as to what they would like to see in an upcoming version, I am all ears. Maybe you have some ideas about formatting or new threads, tips & info you want to share? I will listen and respond. I really want to provide the straight information and tips needed to help people really get to know the park better. I know there are some people on my 'Need to Contact' list that I really want to collaborate and work together with. So please speak up!
 
Just released the new Pass Member Tips & Info thread. I just felt like people searching for pass related information could not find information that relates to them easily enough. It's just a rough thread right now. I want to add a bit to it. Right now I just want your opinions as to how everyone likes it, what can be added, ignored, etc.

I added a new FAQs section to this thread. So I basically went through the quick questions and answers thread and complied them into one list here so far. I was just using those for content right now so I can get an idea on what people like about it? Do you think having FAQs is a great idea or no? Personally, I get slightly annoyed with people asking the same questions over and over again, so the term FAQ came to mind.

Hey guys. First off, I want to apologize if this isn't the right place to ask this, this was the only place I found that I thought was appropriate to do so. Anyway-this upcoming summer will be the first I have my license, a car, and a steady income(gotta love lifeguarding), and considering the outlook as of now there's a very good chance that I will also have a girlfriend by then, all of whom I can think of are just as big coaster fans as I am. Now, here comes the hard part: I've been seriously considering buying myself a season pass for either KD or BG(both is out of the question), but can't decide which. Busch Gardens is by far my favorite park, but KD is a lot closer(I live near Manassas) is pretty fun to go to too. I would consider SF America in the mix too but I've never actually been there and I've heard bad things so I don't want to buy a season pass and find that I don't like it. Now, with all this in mind, what do you guys recommend?
