"Closed for COVID" or "Closed because it doesn't work"

I give them a B for effort in trying to resurrect it though. They did announce with their new website launch that there is a V2 to the Skywarp models.

Still not a coaster.

And it actually operated for next to none of that time, yeah?
I think Battle for Eire lasted longer than this ride. I'm not sure about the other three years, but keep in mind it was SBNO for over a year from March 2020 through April 2021. That was due to the Covid closure and the park subsequently only being able to reopen as a zoo.

I thought they gave it a fairly recent refurb and has been running fairly consistently since then?

Is it just me....or not....as a roller coaster...this was a failure...but if you looked at it from a flat ride perspective...it did make sense....if it worked better..right?

^All of the above & more. Rough, uncomfortable, broken more than it was open, bad drive tire propulsion that didn't work when it rained. Just an all around bad product. I didn't get to ride it, as they somehow designed a restraint where the seatbelt could be buckled into the harness, but the harness not reach the verify position. Just a comically goofy ride.

I would like to see the new generation of it happen somewhere, just for Skyline's sake.

Tire drive attractions are always fun to watch in the rain. This is about the only thing I can defend with this attraction. A lot of attractions close for simple rain. Just at KD Berserker, Apple Zapple, Snoopys Rocket Expess, Woodstock Express (if the rain is heavy enough), Twisted Timbers switches to a "rain mode" and drops down to single train operations, and Americana all close for rain.

But Skyline has yet to build a reliable ride. Even the small portion of Zambezi Zinger that they helped with (spiral lift) is chewing threw drive tires insanely fast.

While never ridden any these models, the restraints look insanely overdone and the seating configuration looks uncomfortable. Comments I've read have also mentioned how they tend to only operate one side. I'm not sure if this is due to maintenance reasons or a staffing reason. But maybe they should focus on just a single train/ station setup until they can get it going before adding more mechanical pieces in. Though, with the horizon model I would worry that the train would get stuck upsidedown while trying to accerlate the train until it can get enough speed to clear either element.

I'm glad that big companies have bought these attractions despite them have been marketed heavily towards small parks / FECs. They can afford the loss of the attraction when it failed. I know a company has to start somewhere. But they're 2/2 for failed rides. I also expect a bit more given these guys came from GCI.
