One more bump....

Then I'll let it go. I'm almost positive i got this thing as a "parting gift" when I failed at one of the games. Kinda like the "roundtuit" that I can't find.

I don't remember those at all, it looks like an odd prize (or parting gift). I thought it was a finger nail at first.

I have no idea what it is. if it's a fingernail thats pretty horrid. it's rough like a nail file. I've had it all these years and have never found another one like it.

I remember winning a "belly button picker" for sticking a green pepper with a dart. I miss that area.....

Oldtimer,

I just now read your post. I've been very busy lately.

I do not recall winning one of these as I spent most of my money in the arcades back when. I got plenty of "Round'tuits" as you say from Whack-A-Toad, my favorite game there.

The dragon scales seems very plausible for a parting gift; which as I recall, only happened at Threadneedle Fair. I thought it was nice that they at least gave you something for trying.

Do you still remember that awesome wood smell in Threadneedle when it rained? The area was so wooded and the ground was covered in wood chips to keep it from getting muddy.

Ah~ the good ol' days.

Ah yes... the smell of fresh mulch....

I used to get the same emotion walking the original bridge from the England parking lot. I'm sure it was just the creosote but everytime I smelll it I'm 12 years old again and walking into Busch.

I'm trying to find my "roundtuit" I know it's somewhere.

If this thing is a fingernail what the hell did it come from?

Speaking of walking in from the original bridge from the England Parking Lot. My brother and I used to love to climb up the big wooden tower with all the country flags on it. It used to have three levels, then they closed it to two, and then closed it completely. Sad. It made for great photos.

Yes! I remember those dragon scales! I always thought they were some kind of shell, but what do I know. I was like 10.

What I also remember, because I do still have one, is the awesome clay ocarinas (ceramic round flutes). I think I bought mine for $10, which for me was most of my spending money that trip. I stored it well, and can still play Greensleeves on it... Kinda'
