Any else have FOMO for Rollercoasters? Like your favorite ride or bucket list ride could be removed anytime? For me it’s Nessie, and a lot of wooden coasters

Doubt that'd happen without a major accident (TTD or worse) or a cost prohibitive repair needed (Volcano).

I think Nessie will stick around until the metal is too fatigued and cannot be replaced, which is going to happen eventually but for now seems unlikely it'll be anytime soon.

Woodies are relatively cheap, and offer the ability for a conversion if they get out of hand - cheap 'new' ride (TT).

I think we will see Backlot Stunt Coaster, FoF, and Anaconda go first at KD before we'd see the rest of the lineup replaced; I don't see BGW removing anything for the foreseeable future unless they're really in the SF mindset to have a rides rotation program.

FOMO got me to go out to Kings Island for Halloween 2018 in the fears that Vortex was the one to go. Turned out it left the next year, and I was glad I got to ride Firehawk too. Nessie's first drop is the next best thing to Vortex's (and far less jerky moments).

I'm definitely worried because I still haven't gotten to ride Nessie. And I'm definitely wanting to hit up woodies before they get converted as that is growing in popularity. I do love the conversions but it makes me sad that the original experiences vanish. Cyclone at Six Flags New England was such an incredible experience and while the Wicked Cyclone is fun it's lost that ancient charm.

Even if they were to remove Nessie, the ride has enough of a following that they wouldn’t be able to. The most I see them doing is doing what Efteling did to Python, at least in the high stress areas.
