You know I really like the artwork of Tradewind's banner; lots of nice detail. And although it is a bit dull, both the ride itself's bright colors and loud noise and the beautiful, lush area around it make up for the banner in that respect.

Well I know the park reads the forums so I'll complain about it here as well as in my main site updates.

That banner is now gone and has been gone since the beginning of the season. All that's left is 2 horrifically ugly black poles. A picture of its current state can be found near the bottom of this page. And, incase the park forgot what used to be there, here's a picture of the old (glorious) sign.

Oh my that is really bad. I do get the feeling it will be replaced, but if they replace it with one of the new logo-type signs, I will be livid.

Tradewind's sign is the one of the coolest in the park. It's such a classical ride, and the sign kind of represents its age and nostalgia to me. A replacement seems imminent, sadly.

Too little, too late as far as I'm concerned, the damage has already been done by not having it up for the vast majority of the standard season. I'm assuming it was reinstalled for Howl-O-Scream because the theme works with Ports of Skull… it looks great, so I don't know why they would wait so long otherwise.

From what I've heard, Ports of Skull is going to be San Marco and Festa will get next to nothing but the maze.

While glad to see this sign back, the original was better in it's location and details. The poles don't have the rope and tassel finials. And it seems oddly placed. Maybe it's a depth perception thing on my part, but it seems that it's placed behind the side banners not in the flower bed where the banners are. Ruins the symmetry in my opinion. I know I am being to particular but it being back is better than not at all. I reviewed the new and old pics again and can't determine if it is moved or just seems like it. Anyway at the end of the day still glad to see something that was gone brought back.

RE: The Trade Winds

No other ride has not been cleaned as long as this one has. I can barely see the colors on the tarp in the center anymore.

But, ummmm, the proper name is The Trade Wind, not winds.
