Just found out some cool info.... It seems the green train is the oldest being manufactured in 1972 while that others were manufactured in 1974.

If you ever see any of the engineers walking around on break they are awesome to talk to and more than willing to offer up information. I had the privilege of being on break at the same time 2-3 of them were on break. They can tell you anything you want to know about any of the engines.

Trivia question: Where did little green come from?

This might be a bit off topic but for a BGWFan debut im working on designing and building a live steam model of the red train at BGW...If you have any up close pictures of the red train please PM it would help very much!

Pictures are somewhat illusive it seems. I would personally just go to the park and take shots at crossing and stations.

I would go to the Heatherdowns station and wait for the train. Stand on the little path rthat cuts close to the track before the crossing and snap away there. Zoom in on the different components, etc and go from there. What type of model are you trying to do exactly?

Yeah, I really wish i could do that but just the price of parts for miniature steam engines are just too great for right now at least

Model railroading is an expensive hobby, it has left large dents in my bank account and I'm just an HO railroader. O, G, and live steam are quite expensive.

A cheaper alternative could be building a custom body shell for an HO or O scale steam locomotive.
