Read his review and explain to me how much of an expert he is when describing the coasters. He is so technical and descriptive my head spun!

I love going "upside down a bunch of time" on Alpengeist. I can see him explaining it to someone:
"So, how many times does Apengeist go upside down?"
"What coaster?"
"Aplengeist, the one where the track is above you and your feet dangle."
"Oh, yeah, that one. What do you want to know?"
"How many times does it go upside down?"
"A bunch of time."
"But, how many times?"
"I don't know! Who do you think I am, some roller coaster expert?"

End dialogue.

Most of the photos were taken from interesting angles. Were those stock park-supplied pictures or did someone take those for the story?

I don't recognize the LNM one off the top of my head, but I know that, at the very least, yes, all of the other shots are park-provided.

The LNM one is at the top of the hill before the first loop. You can tell by the sky buckets wire behind it.
