First of all welcome to the forum. Second, I have many many questions for you. But before we get to that, I generally dislike all shows in theme parks. You guys are my first exception.
I saw you on the first night of Haunt, and I was amazed at your blocking and obvious skill.
questions.
1. How much can you see?
2. How much time did you all have to prep?
3. Are you all college students, professional, something else or a combo.
Please send my regards to your cast.
Bravo.
Wow, Thank you so much! You have no idea how much that means to my cast and me.
Okay, our sight is almost completely gone. It was actually a huge issue at first, but we've kind of managed to get it under control. If you notice, when we are traveling, the first couple (usually me) is holding onto our supervisor, because if not we'll run into things. Essentially, we can see from just about eye level and up; we scare based on shadows and what we hear. The lighting is a big contributor as to how well we can see. It's very specific. If the light is directly in our eyes, you can forget it because the mask just spreads the light across our face. if theres a light that's shining on others, like guests, it's a lot easier, but really not all that much. In past years, The Mob has been able to wander around and scare like other monsters, but because of our sight this year all we can really do is go out, perform, and go back inside. It sucks, but being in the mask is both claustrophobic and frustrating. We are really out there for as long as we can take. It looks so awesome and the guests reactions make it worth it.
Well, they had a total of five rehearsals, I think. The reason I say "they" is because I was called in about a week and a half before Haunt opened. I missed the first three rehearsals. in total though, no more than five. Our choreographer is incredible (she's actually in one of the shows) and learning wasn't that difficult. The real trouble was working out the masks. Especially because our final dress rehearsal was rained out, so opening night was technically our final dress rehearsal.
We are about half college and half high school students. Some of us are professional dancers/singers, but almost everyone has had dance experience before. I don't know if your question is "are we apart of RWS and Associates like the other shows" because if so, we're not. We were hired from the regular batch of monsters that apply.
I'm so glad I could answer your questions!

Not gonna lie I was just really excited someone was talking about us in the first place! haha nobody knows about us! We're KD's hidden gem I suppose. And thanks! We love it, especially all of the different ideas as to what we really are.
Just so you know, I think everybody who has seen your group is completely crazy about you all. The mob is so cool! The amount of skill and talent put into your performance is phenomenal. I think all entertainment-related aspects of Haunt seem to go less noticed than the big-box things like the mazes, but you guys definitely make a great impression on people. Here are just a couple of comments on
the video that KD Golden Years posted to Facebook: "Looooooove", "That's so cool", and "this an AWESOME group we have here! THE MOB has always been a favorite of mine, and so glad to be able to call them friends ... but their talent, along with the costumes seem to have raised them to a new level this year!"
Keep up the awesome work! We definitely appreciate it!
(And by the way, I choose to believe you guys are supposed to be mannequins. Do you guys even know what you're 'actually' supposed to be?)
Thank you so much! That means a lot, really. I have seen that facebook post, it was pretty awesome.
Yes, we're mannequins. We've gotten the craziest names, though. most of them are ignorant (KKK).
