The Great Goofini will be the rethemed Barnstormer roller coaster to be located in the Storybook Circus (rethemed Toontown Fair) area of the "New" Fantasyland.

Personally, I am excited to see a ride be rethemed, especially a "heavily themed"* themed Disney ride.

*Ok ok maybe Barnstormer/Goofini isn't heavily themed, but you know what I mean... ;)

It really is not going to be themed much at all. See some aerial shots on various boards. The bigger news is Seven Dwarves.

If anything, Disney is de-theming the ride to make it Goofini. They are tearing out the barn with the animatronic chickens, the pun filled crops on the farm, the radio tower and they won't be replacing them with anything.

Once again, your logic is skewed. I suggest researching the retheme before blindly forming an opinion.

I HAVE researched it but you apparently haven't. The ride sign will be a billoard that the plane flies through (a cheap ride sign when compared to the old one, that had a plane crashed into a tower) and the tower that the lift hill goes through has been re-themed to a cheap looking stack of crates.

The highly themed queue will be torn out and replaced with nothing.

It will go from this:

to this:

As far as I can tell, it's a de-theme, as the 'stack of crates' tower seems to be the only piece of theming there is. The rest of the ride will be an empty field with some trees. Please explain to me what is so skewed about my logic?

Review press releases and recent magazine publications on it. Quit looking at a year old D23 model.

When will you start taking your own advice?

Here's is the latest construction pics from less then a month ago:

Looks just like the model and here are some press releases:

The damn ride is supposed to open sometime this month and it currently looks just like the model that you want to dismiss. Seriously, it's a de-theme, get over it.

Err. Wrong again. The aerials from two days ago show a heavily detailed broken billboard, much more than depicted in the model.

Barnstormer had a cheap busted barn and recycled chickens as theming. You speak of it as if it was the gift of all theming. The theme level will be greater in the queue and the entire area in general while the ride's theming level remains just about the same. And if you took note, then you would see that opening has been pushed to March 31 for Storybook Circus and is likely to move to April. Keep with updated photos and info.

You just don't let up. The arial I posted had the billboard too and I've seen the ones you're talking about, nothing has changed. It is what it is, A BILLBOARD. Since when has a billboard been considered better theming then a barn filled with animatronic chickens that interact with the ride (albeit recycled from WOM), a country radio station, farm land with pun filled crops, and a plane crashed into a tower for an entry sign. Yes, this wasn't the best theming ever, never have I stated that, but what we're getting is worse then Six Flags. The billboard on this de-theme is nothing but a large entry sign.

BTW, I've been backing up my opinions with photographic evidence. Now why don't you show me some pictures of this meticulously detailed re-theme? Pictures of the surrounding area don't count as theming for this ride.

Boom. Final pictures. Much more detailed queue, crates are adding a ton, billboard looks much better. Much more rich theme and atmosphere than Barnstormer every could have had. Blown away by the sideshow/stunt props.

Well anyone who's been to a Six Flags will tell you that it's pretty much the same theme. Their kiddie coasters have canons, rockets, targets, blueprints and character shaped holes in the walls. Only difference is the character being Wile E Coyote instead of Goofy.

*Now waits for the inevitable snarky condescending comment that neither contributes information or opinion relative to the topic but merely attacks me*

Well, at least the de-theme is on par with Six Flags now.

For someone who's been going to Six Flags parks for nearly their whole life, it still outclasses Six Flags by a longshot. Hell, for the many visits I've made to Dorney and my visit to Cedar Point in 2010, it outclasses both of those parks, too.

You learn to laugh at certain posts, sir. Check out the soft opening photos, it is much better than most imagined.
