So I just wanted to elaborate more on the park's direction, where they were headed, where they are headed, what caused a difference in the two targets, etc.

Now back in 2010 or 2011, the park's future was looking bright, as far as the amount of expansion that was planned or I should say rumored to happen. We had reports of a resort, full year operation, a new country, a new train station, two new dark rides, and then all of the sudden, once 2013 started we immediately saw the beginnings of budget cuts with The Celtic Dyne being cancelled. Shortly after, we had huge hope with the Food & Wine Festival and the overall Aquitaine renovation. Sadly things went downhill fast with Pirates 4D closing, Europe in the Air closing, and then a butchered Illuminights. Now we are looking a a butchered entertainment offerings schedule for the Labor Day Weekend. In my opinion this is how things are looking:

- / \
\ / \
\ _ _
\
\
\ _ _

This is a figure graph of the pros versus cons. For every \ a bad thing happened. For every / a good thing happened. - just means things stayed slightly stale.

What do you think is going on?

RE: The future was so bright . . .

Trying to appeal to the stockholders, that's what happened. The park was never intended to pull Six Flags/Cedar Fair level profits, and all the sudden after 35+ years people want it to turn a profit, and not a small one.

What's the fastest way to do that? Slash the living daylights out of EVERYTHING.
