In a turn of events, Canada’s Wonderland has announced that Flight Deck is reopening this year with track refinements & new trains, as The Daredeviler. This looks like a good step in the right direction for starting to theme the area it currently sits in.

If they can get this SLC riding similar to "The Great Nor'Easter" at Morey's Piers I think this will be a big win for the park, especially considering the trains are brand new and essentially free for Canada's Wonderland. I know people have wanted the ride torn down for years but realistically this park needs all the capacity it has and more. Smart fixes like this (if done right) can prove great and free up additional spending for future installments.

well, I can see this retheme as phase 1, the area where time warp used to be was 2 flat rides so putting the 2 flat rides back in time warp area makes sense, maybe retheme wave swinger to fit in

I had a lot of fun riding flight deck last year. I'm kinda sad it won't be as bumpy anymore.

It’s weird, like I like the concept they are going for with the roarin’ 20’s look and feel to it, but you couldn’t come up with a better name than that?

And I know this gets off topics and it touched on somewhere else you talked about it; but AI renderings from large chains really bother me. Like, they can afford some graphic designers on payroll or at least as IC workers to do stuff like this for them. I, personally, can give a pass to smaller parks who might not have the flexibility to pay out someone like to to have someone in marketing to make something like that.

It will run almost identically to Professor Screamore's SIdewinder.
Professor Screamore's SIdewinder, DareDeviler, and The Great Nor'Easter all opened in May 1995, but most of the track on Nor'Easter has been replaced in 2017 with track made to a much higher tolerance.
MInd Eraser (Professor Screamore) opened with 8 row trains, later increased to 10. When the trains were replaced, they went back to 8 row trains. Top Gun (Flight Deck) always had 10 row trains. The question now is as Daredeveler, will it have 8 row trains, or are they going to buy another two rows from Vekoma?

Absolutely agreed, but I wouldn't be surprised if Disney/Marvel had some sort of trademark about the word's use with an amusement ride "just in case" LOL. There's gotta be a reason that no park has ever had a ride simply called "Daredevil" with no other words (Daredevil Falls @ Dollywood) and/or odd spacing (Dare Devil Dive @ any legacy-Six park).

simple. they'll run one train with all 10 cars & one train with 6 cars. problem solved!

Looking at the graphic above (from CW itself), I'll settle for AI designing some of the ads and logos, as long as they keep AI far away from designing the rides themselves. The back side of that loop looks... painful.
 
^^-- It's the twice inverting pretzel loop from an SLC. It does seem the foreground blocked some misalignment.

I think Daredeviler sounds more vintage and rather like that artwork, however it was made.

Mind Eraser definitely ran better its last year shortened to 9 rows so shortening Canada's ride to 8 seems likely.
