Reworded my post: people on insideuniversal are saying that magic mountain is currently re-evaluating matinence.
Superman Escape From Krypton, Viper, Ninja, and X2 are being looked at to re-evaluate which is worth saving. Was wondering people’s thoughts. Chris Galindo said it

Posting the direct link as I see people don't opt to have links to source things on a matter like that. And throwing my two cents, I think Ninja and Superman are probably on their way out. X2 and Viper you could salvage and work with S&S and Vekoma in assets; Superman and Ninja are relics of a bygone era that isn't really feasible anymore. And I doubt this coaster directly impacts them.

About that…

Viper could be really great again with some new trains. Love Viper back row!

Also really love Ninja and hope that stays as well - probably my most ridden coaster at Magic Mountain.

Superman can go. Doesn’t even go all the way up the tower. Line sucks ass too.

X2 is probably nearing the end of its service life. I don’t see how a ride that damn brutal is able to survive much longer. Kickass ride though! When it’s time to “replace” X2, I hope they just rebuild a completely different S&S 4th Dimension coaster similar to the ones overseas. A fair, likely more reliable and comfortable replacement for X2. Call it X3

Viper, Ninja, and Superman all seem like the most likely contenders for removals based on age and cost of maintenance.

RCDB now list Superman as snbo. Take that as you will

I think @Logflume's point is that it has been down since August and it is SBNO. I don't think anyone had highlighted that here before.
My bad, I thought that was already known. I can't find the post now, but I saw one a few months ago saying its server room had a large fire. Is it still closed for that?

Edit: Found the post, everyone is accusing him of exaggerating and he deleted it. Maybe that's not why it's closed

Holy crap, never knew that happened. Crazy. Unfortunately, not to repeat myself, I do think that may be the kill shot. But we will see.
Edit: if they are stretching it, still doesn’t explain why it’s closed.
