I got the chance to try it out tonight (thanks Franz! :D) and I must say, I was surprisingly impressed. I've never been one to watch cooking shows (beyond Gordon Ramsay of course) but overall, if you're at all interested in cooking, I'd say it's worth the $20. It's also worth noting that the meal they give you is pretty fantastic too. I was quite impressed.

RE: The Chef's Guests

Considering the meal is sit down in AC, brought to your table with full wait staff, and also is a main dish with two sides, three deserts from the F&W selections (Canada's desert and Tiramisu) plus unlimited soda or alcoholic beverage. Most certainly worth the $20.

RE: The Chef's Guests

Pretty much this ^

My only concern is that people who aren't exactly into the stuff will be pretty bored. I feel that if the food was brought out half-way through the dementation/presentation, it would be a lot more accessible to a more general audience.

RE: The Chef's Guests

I do kind of agree, it's really for people who enjoy cooking, but it certainly has a great value none-the-less. The chef also comes to each table to talk to everybody.

RE: The Chef's Guest

How many people are in the group for this? Is it for a large crowd, or a smaller, more personal experience?

Re: The Chef's Guest

People are separated into smaller tables so it can stay into a personal thing. She still does come to each table.

RE: The Chef's Guest

They have the capacity for a pretty large crowd but I highly doubt they'll hit that on any normal day during the event.

RE: The Chef's Guest

Well, when I looked at the brochure, the event will only be on June 15th and 16th. Therefore, there will be less days to book. If reviews get around quick enough, I doubt there will be problems filling the seats!

FYI- you only get one alcoholic beverage. I'm sure many folks would love for it to be unlimited. :p

RE: The Chef's Guest

O, wow, you're right. I thought the original plan was to offer it every weekend. Guess I have a deadline for my review then. :p

RE: The Chef's Guest

It's NOT every weekend???

What? What??

Yay! My full review is finally up! http://bgwfans.com/2013/the-chefs-guests-review/

Because I know only 10% of you read my posts, yes, there are pictures. ;)

RE: The Chef's Guest

$20 bucks for all THAT??? DAMN, son, that *almost* makes my flight on Emirates look like a bargain! lol :) Nice.

RE: The Chef's Guest

I love Coke Cake, had some about a week or so ago, and even though my family wasn't extremely fond of it, I loved it so much. I guess the main thing I liked was how moist it was. I hate getting cake as hard as a rock almost, and Coke Cake is just amazingly moist and perfect. I actually enjoyed the taste. Of course the Coke Cake I had was a homemade recipe and probably not the same exact one used by Virginia.

RE: The Chef's Guest

Basically everyone who tried the Coca-Cola Cake agreed that it was, at best "Ok" and, at worst, flat out awful.

RE: The Chef's Guest

I was hoping for pictures of my food too but, being the awful admin I am, was too focused on eating and forgot said pictures. :p

Does the park even serve Coke cake elsewhere? I highly doubt that Virginia made the Coke cake, I bet the park did. I have had Doctor Pepper Cake before which is great.
