I honestly have my doubts on Alpengeist being ready for the event they still had a LOT of work to do last weekend.

What's taking Loch Ness so long to open? The website mentions it's opening later in March. Loch Ness hasn't run since last October, surely they have had enough time already to conduct annual maintenance.
To be fair- it’s also a ride model that’s slowly going extinct. And also- I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s partially due to the train. There are crews down there working with the bridge there.

I was given a two pronged answer to this last year. One is with Nessie being the only Arrow Coaster in the park its harder to cross train employees cause the there is only a small amount in common with other rides where as the B&Ms share many of the same equipment and procedures making them a quicker cross train. Two was with her age they are taking every possible opportunity to reduce wear and tear so she is usually the last to open each year and one of the first to close in hopes that by slightly reducing her yearly cycles that they might extend her life as long as possible. No idea how factual either is but both seen reasonable.

It wouldn't surprise me if we start to see Griffon, Loch Ness, Finnegan's etc. start to open back up especially later in the event as BGW prepares for full operation in April. I think they did this last year where you started to see a ride or two open that weren't supposed to be open as BGW hired and trained additional staff.

You would think O'Taters would be open for St. Patrick's Day month. It would have been nice to have a place to eat in Ireland. But then again, I see Marco Polo Marketplace open and wonder if they will be "fully" open or just selling a plate of spaghetti again. I guess time will tell.

If Finnegan's Flyer was closed during St. Pattys Day Celebration I was going to say that makes absolutely no sense to me. I need another good several swings on that honestly. The line just gets pervasive when they run one swing.

When did you go and they were only selling a plate of spaghetti? I was there multiple times when they have been open and they served the majority of their menu.

Attraction list has been updated. Alpengeist and Invadr have been moved to the “later in March” section along with the flying machine and Finnegans. So only Apollo and Verbolten will be open at the start of the event.
Don’t forget about Grover’s Alpine Express!

Well, I go often enough that I can't give you an exact date. Probably September at night. It was before HOS. And I stand by my comment that the only food they had was spaghetti with red sauce. Was looking for something different from the Festhaus food and that was the only choice. Just to be clear. We went one other time and there were more food stations open at Marco Polo.
