First I just want to say that this isn’t 100% confirmation that son of beast is returning to Kings Island as an RMC ground up hybrid this is just speculation, and it is fun to speculate. Second this is just a rumor, and we know sometimes rumors can be true and sometimes they don’t.

So here it is.

A guy on his YouTube page named “fields goat” has been posting videos regarding about Son of Beast’s return to Kings Island, if want to check out his content the link is in the description below 👇

Yup, it’s speculation alright

Especially after the headache that steel vengeance and Timbers has caused them (cough cough flying phones cough cough)

So, there were some KI RMC rumors a little while ago, because RMC on twitter made a comment about "looking out for outpost 5" or something, which is the "canon" area where son of beast was. RMC on twitter is, of course, known to be trolls but I also think it would be unprofessional af to even hint that you might have a project coming to a park when... that wasn't the case.

I'm also not sure how concrete or pertinent this is, but there were reports of a Canada's Wonderland representative saying "the park isn't interested in hybridizing existing coasters but that doesn't rule out ground-up RMC projects". There's no telling, however, if this applies to CW only or Cedar Fair as a whole.

ALL THESE THINGS SAID, wow, this vlog looks like a nothing burger, why even bother <_<

No way Cedar Fair goes with RMC

So that means we know that the following have CF on their shit list and CF has them on their shit list:
Intamin
RMC

And it's been a while since we've seen:
Vekoma
B&M

So does that leave problematic S&S and wood only GCI?

Also the flying phones - CF blaming RMC is riiiiiiich.

Isn’t Dorney getting a B&M.

The RMC piece is fair in that CF had to add metal detectors along with personnel to run them post purchase, which has real on-going costs associated with it. If it was just shoring up some structural issues, I think that would be over doing it.

Dorney getting a B&M - like I said it's been a while.

I'm going to need a better explanation of how a loose article coming out is on the coaster manufacturer and not the park other than - well nothing. That to me is like saying you'll never buy a Honda again because you phone didn't fit in the cup holder and you needed to buy a phone holder and charging cord. In fact I find your entire example backwards. If CF needed to add some structural issues - yes they should have RMC on the shit list for providing a ride not up to standards to begin with!

I believe Steel Vengeance is a massive pain in the a** for structural reasons based on ElToroRyans problematic video. Cell phones flying out and hitting people is a problem industry wide. Cedar Fair is the only company that’s installed an RMC that’s implemented metal detectors on them.
The only other in ride metal detectors in line I can remember other than this was IOA Dueling Dragons.

As for the topic.

I've long hoped a ground up RMC would be a Son of Beast heir. I really wished that RMC and DW would have worked together to better come up with a launch solution, because my pie in the sky hope for that would have been to only really have the station visible and launch the trains into the woods for a real low to the ground high speed experience. Thinking something like Outlaw Run without the lift.

To clarify one end, I meant “the only company with RMCs” that has metal detectors at them. I mean Six Flags built RMCs everywhere except the neglected parks and has 0 metal detectors for them.

The amount of teasing RMC has done on Twitter recently has had me rather curious. But they’re probably just trying to troll us

Hey it's Fields goat
I have learned a lot about this since this was made and I actually just found this. But from what I have heard from getting a job at the park and my inside source has been telling me that Kings Island is planning to clear land behind the bat in the plot of land they have been flattening and also that outpost 5 is staying at the park so an RMC or another coaster of some kind could be going into this area in the near future

Until RMC drastically increases their build quality, I don’t see cf working with them at all. They build amazing rides but they have so many issues. From ntg and gwazi having clearance issues, Steve, gwazi, lrod, wcr plus the raptors all having structural issues, the raptors getting this rough after only 6 years for the prototypes, 3 for JDC, wcr footer issues, stunt pilot loosing a wheel, and rmc nearly breaking Steve and twitims transfer tables, rmc while they build amazing, truly world class rides has to focus on their build quality. Until then cf will probably make the smart choice to stay away.

well, they still have room in the old lion country safari area that remained untouched for the time being (you know that old brown building & that man made lake next to it), so they saving up room for future expansion (return of son of beast maybe?)
