I know this isn't directly related to this thread, but I couldn't find any dedicated threads in the "Defunct Attractions" section. Looking at all the old photos and videos of the park, I keep noticing the Skyride. I have a mild obsession with these rides, and wish KD would bring it back (not that that would happen, at least not in its original location). I find myself staring at the former station near Safari Village whenever I visit the park, wondering "what if..." Not only is the Skyride beautiful to watch, it's also very practical. Does anyone know why it was removed? What about the gondolas and towers themselves? Were they kept in storage, sold, or scrapped? Now, it seems that KD could use such a system more than ever, seeing how much the park has grown since 1975. It's a shame that so many parks have gotten rid of these, including my home park growing up, Hersheypark, citing safety and maintenance issues. At least Busch Gardens and Great Adventure have held on to theirs, and hopefully they will continue to run for many more years!
