Rumor Single Rider Lines Being Phased Out

It was posted to Reddit that the use of single riders lines at SFFT have been discontinued. Some have also mentioned that over the last year SFoT has stopped using them and that SFNE stated at an ACE event that they would be discontinuing them as well. Anyone have anymore insight?

No inside info, but I have never seen them used productively. A single rider line only helps if the empty seats can be filled without increasing dispatch times. Every time I have seen them used, they would open the single rider gate after normal loading was complete. The longer dwell times resulted in lower riders per hour vs just leaving the seats empty.
Single rider lines are much more useful when you have an attendant assigning rows in advance.
