oh my god, why didn't seaworld just give kraken the hulk treatment where they rebuild the whole ride
There’s a decision to be made. Do you either want to:

Tear down the existing coaster and rebuild it to the exact specifications, with potentially some new theming? Does sound like a decent option.

OR…

Use the money to replace it with a brand new and completely different coaster, with a different make and model, that could be a novelty to the region? A brand new ride sounds even more interesting.

With all the new coasters they will build for this park they better pony up the cash for a new penguin exhibit in San Diego. Also maybe this and the jta redo can happen at the same time and the whole sea of legends area could be refreshed and more elaborately themed.

Rode it a few times yesterday and was still pretty smooth imo. Unless things are starting to fall apart behind its paint...?

Yeah, that's definitely the issue. All the B&Ms are succumbing to similar around this age. Parks are either faced with major reinvestment or replacement.

I second this, the ride is running really well still. I don't see a reason to get rid of it. I'd like to see a JTA refresh/ new front entrance for this park before another coaster.

Of course. And good chance it could be as the park is open everyday. But if it hasn’t reached the end of its service life, I’d rather see them focus on other areas.
