Hi All,
Have planned a big trip with the family ( 2Ad+2Ch) from Ireland in May. Have hotel booked for 5 nights in the area and plan to spend 4 days in the park (19th-22nd).
I am intending on getting 4 season passes but feel it is a waste as these passes will go unused for the rest of the year.
Is there anyone that could lend me their passes for a fee, maybe $200 or would anyone be interested in buying season passes from me after I use them if I go with buying them.
I understand that the season pass cards have the persons photo on them, but surely there is a way around this.
Its still not a bad price of $100 per person for 4 days but would hate to have passes left idle for rest of year.

Thanks.

Perhaps someone will make the offer, but I believe that goes against the pass holder policy and could mean that both your family will not be able to enter and the passes you attempted to use can be confiscated/revoked immediately, so whomever actually purchased them wouldn't be able to use them again either.

It looks like there's some resort package and bring-a-friend deals on their site now, and may have future promotional offers?

I witnessed someone get a pass confiscated at Kings Dominion because they were trying to use a friends pass. Obviously they were caught by the required photos to be attached to the pass. So, this would not be something to mess around with. I understand the frustration of buying a season pass, but only using it for 4 days, but remember the money saved by purchasing the season pass far outweighs buying single day tickets each day. Not to mention the benefits the pass will give you once inside the park. I have personally bought a season pass to Dollywood and only used it for 3 days because that was the cheapest route for me.

What you are asking someone to do is a direct violation of the passholder policy!

It clearly states in this link.

To gain entry, a Summer Pass, with a photo of the Passholder taken during processing, must be displayed and validated at park turnstiles. Any attempt to gain admission using a Summer Pass by a guest to whom the pass was not originally issued will result in immediate confiscation of the pass without a refund. Each visit is subject to applicable park rules and restrictions which are subject to change by park at any time in its sole discretion.

Surely if you're flying all the way from across the pond from Ireland, a $105 Summer Pass shouldn't be a financial burden.

Hi Unagi,

No real problem paying for the season pass, just hate the thought of having it for 1 weekend and then that's it, thrown in the bin.
Would love if some one could get some use out of it. but if that is their policy then so be it.

I’m just curious: are you sure you will need four days at CP?

Understanding that this would only increase the pass problem, you might consider Platinum passes and a day at Kings Island. (If you plan to have a car.)

Damn you 🤣 after putting another idea on me for next visit.
Flying into Toronto, driving down to Sandusky via Detroit following day. Relax before going to CP for four days then travelling up to family in Rochester,NY for few days before crossing at Niagara Falls and then home.
Just after I booked an Airline announced flights to CLE so maybe look at this next year and take in both parks or maybe try somewhere else.
Did this trip years ago before the kids came along and really enjoyed it. Have waited years for them to reach the height to go on all the rides so what better time to bring them to CP?

I know people that bought a season's pass and used it once, too busy to make it back, THAT's a waste but it happens all the time. When I did Platinum pass, only 3 days were outside my home park, but still the cheapest way to do it. And $94 is less than I spent on a 2 day pass to Dollywood.

Seeing that you're flying into Toronto, you should've look into visiting Canada's Wonderland, and getting a Platinum Pass there which would get you into Cedar Point. The Wonderland Platinum pass costs $280 CAD but that (currently) converts to $208.85 USD. That's a major discount.

All good ideas but I have itinerary already planned out unfortunately. If we get bored with CP after 3 days maybe do something in the area.
Next time I will definitely plan trip better.

What will the crowds be like at this time of year?
Will it be very busy or just right to avoid lengthy queuing?

Crowds shouldn't be too bad but the hours aren't good. The park closes at 8pm on the days you plan on going but if you're visiting for four days you should be able to ride everything.
