Back in November, LEGOLAND Florida announced that they'd be constructing a new Sea Life aquarium at the park for a Fall 2024 debut.

I'm making a thread about this project now because I wanted to share recent plans that have surfaced.

The new building, slated to be constructed in the currently empty area immediately behind and to the right of the LEGOLAND turnstiles, will be about 17,450 square feet. The entrance for the new aquarium looks to be roughly across from The Big Shop and directly off of the plaza with the rainbow dinosaur models.

The thing that surprises me most about these plans is that I don't think the aquarium will be accessible from outside of LEGOLAND Florida's gates...? Maybe additional docs will be submitted later on to reflect a more substantial restructuring of the LEGOLAND FL entry area/turnstiles, but at least for now, I'm not seeing a clean way to make this resort additional separately ticketed.

Interesting, very interesting. I was like 100% sure they would try to make this a separately ticketed experience.

The aquarium plans are expressly labeled Project Neptune. The 2025 coaster plans are labeled Project 2025.

Yeah, back in September I saw that they had walls up in that area, then they announced it... figured that was the spot since their was enough empty space around for it. Just like how Farari is going in an dis-used building near the pirates show.

While it will be seperately ticketed it is more like an Add-on like how the waterpark is.

Looks to be opening May 23rd:

Maybe they want to move that date due to something else grabbing headlines in the area... hmm?
