I’m curious to see what you all think of this event happening this weekend and next weekend at Six Flags America. Looks like they’re going to have some haunted houses and scare zones open after hours both weekends.

Is SFA trying to make the news for an incident early on in the year and depress turnout even more. I really don’t see the appeal of an out of season event such as this when they could do something such as Mardi Gras that would be entirely in season.

I actually think this a really interesting idea, and plan to check it out, if I have time. I think they found a concept that isn’t duplicative with either their regional competition or other local events, that is appropriate for a lot of their target demographic, and that they can do without a ton of additional investment. Plenty of places have year-round haunted houses, in fact.
