Well, considering they’re more than likely making minimum wage (knowing how Seaworld loves to cut costs anywhere), they aren’t getting paid enough to deal with guests who won’t listen to basic instructions.
I made 13.50 an hour lol 💀, Never forget the woman walking up to the entrance (after paying for parking) to scream we all supported animal abuse and are horrible people…

I've complained elsewhere for a while about SEAS' operation practices and I have little doubt it was a combination of the low pay and the general lax nature of their training and operation standards. Would not be shocked in the slightest if Scorpion's restraint verification prior to this incident was just a simple pull up on the lap bar instead of ensuring it was snug against the rider's body.

I definitely notice that CF and SF have much stricter restraint checks than SEAS does. I mean the worst case scenario is only that someone dies and the park was largely negligent, but what’s that against higher profit margins.

Hot take: the restraint check is more for guest service and not for safety.

Nope it is not, scorpion also had a Skyrush method video where an operator didn’t push pull on the bar, and the guest was able to almost completely come out of the train on that same loop the girl slipped out of, BGT now has a reputation for not doing proper restraint device safety verification checks, would not be surprised if IROC came to seas soon

Does IROC do SEAS' operator certifications? I was under the impression SEAS used a different company (or had their own in-house certification system).

SEAS uses their own training staff. Former supervisor of mine is the current BGW Training Manager. He develops all new ride SOP's, makes addendums as needed for current rides, as well as makes sure all operators are up to date on their testing.

Can confirm all this information.

So sad to see this classic go. It's so good and still runs so well. I'm sure the constant use and Florida weather hasn't been kind to it though. 😥
