Now this is really insane. I've never seen a line this long for Scorpion ever. These are WDW wait times in BGT!
Considering this is the busiest week of the year for all theme parks in Central Florida I say it's working fine. Manta at SeaWorld is showing a 110 minute wait. Escape from Gringotts is at 140 minutes and the Hogwarts Express from Diagon Alley is at 120. Flight of Passage in DAK is currently at 195.
Yesterday, Seaworld History (@SeaworldH) on Twitter posted about a height requirement change on Scorpion.

The original height requirement of 42” has now been upped to 48” to ride Scorpion. I assume that the change is a result of the following TikTok video:

A new requirement, riders between 48” and 54” must also have a supervising companion, 54” or taller to ride this attraction.
Additionally, you can see that the attraction is currently closed, I assume for inspections.
What do y’all think? This just popped out of the blue!

Also, it’s closed rn to assess the train, and see if updates need to be made. I’m assuming they considered seat belts but opted to raise the height requirement
As someone who slipped under the restraint on Racer 75 when it was called Rebel Yell, I was between 44" and 48" tall, and 44" was the minimum height to ride, I can fully understand this.

Yes, and not to mention the phone that was in the mom's hand. huge no-no.
From my experience BGT ride ops routinely do not battle guests over phones and will just dispatch anyway.
Well, considering they’re more than likely making minimum wage (knowing how Seaworld loves to cut costs anywhere), they aren’t getting paid enough to deal with guests who won’t listen to basic instructions.
