Question for those with platinum passes to KD or just passes to Carowinds. Can you visit both Carowinds and SCarowinds in the same day with your pass? For some reason I saw on another forum that no double dipping was allowed with passes and if so man that is disappointing if I have to actually buy a ticket to go to one of the events. I would think that's wrong?
 
^Well because I haven't ridden Fury 325 yet and I have deemed that necessary. I mean my plan was go down the 17th spend all day at the park since I haven't been in 9 years especially since I just upgraded my KD pass, stay at the Spring Hill right next to it then drive back the next day (it's a 30th bday thing for me lol).
 
Are you saying can you go to both Carowinds and Carowinds (but Halloween event) in the same day? I think Gavin interpreted what you said as KD and Carowinds in the same day. Personally, I am confused.
 
We do what you describe, @CoasterAuditor . We have Carowinds Gold and go to ride coasters of the day. You can leave the park and reenter with a hand stamp during the day. You are shuffled out of the park at 5pm so they can "reset" the park (and charge separate ticket admission). i.e. A day ticket will not get you into SCarowand also.

We use this 90 minute time to relax, dress for night, tailgate and do dinner. You can go back in for SCarowinds, with the pass, about 6:30. You cannot leave the park and get back in after that. Do not leave the parking lot in your car during the break or you will be trapped in the re-entry traffic that can extend onto the interstate.

Check your daytime dates on their calendar. The park is not open of the day, only at night for SCarowinds, on certain dates. You plan is solid because there is not enough time do do houses and rides at night. The lines are too long. Go enjoy the park for ride and daytime experiences. Then enjoy the separate nighttime experience.

Edit- If you stay at their hotel, you will not have to drive into the park. You can also walk back to the hotel during the break.

Oh hell no I am not doing that. Yeah I mean just Carowinds and Scarowinds in the same day. It sounds like @BGW Family answered my question. Thanks!
